Not a no. I have it laying about in some folder, but I don't think I ever recognized that it has time-stretching abilities. To me, it seems a slice and rearrange type of program. How does one go about stretching in LiveSlice?
LiveSlice Versions 1.45 and later have time-stretching.

Time-stretching is available in the Arranger view along with Reverse and Pitch.
No need to slice if you don't want to.
Drop the number of Slices to 0,
select all or part of the sample you want to use,
and plop it into the Arranger.
Enable stretching,
and adjust the slider/sample to desired length.

had a think about this while having a smoke, why not...
use everything and then remove the bits you dont need :D

can i suggest, you may also like to pick up pink ninja.
i like to use it to chop up failed recordings for samples, then run them through paul stretch (or similar sounding granular software...)

Right you are. I've copied your instructions and am off to track down my copy of 1.47. Thanks for noting the details.

After searching for quite a while I haven't found the paul's stretch VST shell or any thread that resembles what I thought I had remembered. I guess I was tripping. I did find in the original thread from 2006 that someone had built support for it into Audacity.

Are you maybe thinking of the VSTi shell for his ZynAddSubFX synth?

I don't think so... I'm not actually sure what ZynAddSubFX is. I'll take a look.

An unusual but very nice standalone synth that also has a VSTi version. Not well known, but appreciated by those who have it.

Okay, I set up Slicer at 1, so the entire wav is unsliced. If I drag it down to Arranger -- set to only 1 event -- it doesn't appear. Isn't the entire wav supposed to drop into that event? The manual isn't helping with this unsliced approach.

You shouldnt have to drag it down, it should automatically load in the 1st arranger slot. To get it to 'reload' just press Lock to loop. Or turn down the slices to 1, press Add Track and then drag to that one. Just remember Lock to loop is your friend in LS!

Justin, are you are thinking of Scuzzphut's shell for the SoundTouch library?

eduardo_b I still say the Melodyne plugin is the best way to go for this.

Listen to this stretch I just recorded HERE (check out the end ;).

At the start I just slowed the tempo down then I used this record bot I created specifically for Melodyne to get crazy long infinte stretches.

I'm personally not a big fan of PaulStretch as it just sounds like buffer freezing to me. The Melodyne plugin can get super long stetches and still sound fairly natural.

Okay, that was impressive. Is the "bot" a preset/patch that can be invoked as wanted? Can you post it, along with instructions? Geez, another plug to learn. :)
