Ok thats great to hear. I was about to do some serious registry research to try to figure it out (fheww). So the Tempo track is no problem for you?sinzero wrote:I have SP3, no prob with the program appearing in the menu. Must be something else....Optomadic wrote:So it looks like SP3 may be a problem. Working on a fix now.....

Let me know if the TimeSignature track creates any problems and I will address it. Working on the complex math now to resolve the need for that track.
Also don't forget to post any ideas you may want added.
Thanks all for the help with this so far

Tested MFS on Vista today. When you right click on a MIDI file, the command does not show up.
The executable for MFS itself does work on Vista. The MIDI file has to be dragged and dropped onto MIDI File Stripper.exe in the \Program Files\MIDI File Stripper folder and it will strip and create a new version.
I should have the command showing up on a right click very soon for Vista users.

Fixed some minor bugs and added command support for several default MIDI players.
I decided to add a TimeSignature track until I get spread formula working 100%. Again, it won't effect how the host interprets the MIDI data (but let me know if you run into anything
).
Download New Version Here or from link on the 1st page.
I was able to strip a whole song with many MIDI tracks etc. MFS was made for short MIDI passages but now I know it will strip large MIDI files also!
Thanks to all that are helping me find bugs and issues! All are welcome to test/use MFS and report any problems.
Working on:
- Accurate spread formula.
- Multiple File Support.
- Web Page.
- Vista Support.
- A Portable Version.
