Its just that the older version with step recording length stopped rec/play on a dime. Regardless, it makes total sense what your saying so I will work with this version until then. Don't mess with it if its working :tu:.

Gone to test the latest..

All your hard work on this is greatly appreciated..

the new version will work exactly the same way if you stop it manually, before the host's loop point. the problem with the host looping is that the plugin doesn't know it's going to go back in time until it has already happened. i can fix it but it will take some work.

Yea no worries on that. I just tried the last version and it works as it should! If I add an extra beat to the end of the passage it stops on point so forget what I was saying.

Just one last question.. With regards to save, if I record an overdub, name the loop, then save it, should it save as something other that the 1st loop (loop 1). I cant seem to get it to do so.

BTW would you mind if I started on a manual for this or do you already have something in the works?

can't find anything wrong here... renaming and saving works for me.

i almost started one, but i didn't get very far. the first step was going to be to copy all my posts from this thread, and try to flesh it out into something coherent. anyway, if you really want to, go for it.

So I started on a manual based on what was written so far. I was thinking though, if your planning on adding multi channel support (or any other additions) I will hold off for now.

Let me know what the plans are and I will go from there.

Hi Piz,

Was wondering if and how MultiChannel support was comming along?

Thanks again.

i won't really have time to work on this for a while, maybe a few weeks or months, but i'll try to at least add an option to record all channels.

there is a lot more stuff planned (see "to do" list in the first post) but it probably won't happen very soon.

I know what you mean I suddenly got 3 job offers to play keys so I'm also going to be bogged down. If you could add that though, it would pretty much make it perfect. If time permits ofcourse.

"- convert midi files saved with other time formats "

I too am trying to come up with a formula for this exact issue in MFS.. Maybe we can share our findings, math snippets etc? I'm getting pretty close to get this one perfected!

A couple of thoughts for the todo someday list:

-An option to have any incoming CC trigger recording and a (user configurable) timeout countdown from the last received CC value to automaticly disable recording. (and an option to completely disable/bypass this feature)

-Overdubbing the same CC should completely erase the CC being overdubbed for the duration that Values are received (Currently it seems like I am fighting with the previously recorded CC)

-Larger stretch range (workaround of starting recording with the stretch set to opposite of most extreme setting desired works ok but more would be nice)

Post

As per Overdub - You could just press the Clear Button to frel the current loop?

i think i would make it for notes and/or CCs (optional). could be interesting... totally hands-free loop recording, or feet-free if you're not using a foot pedal.

i agree, but it might be tricky... the overdubbing feature needs a lot of work anyway.

ok, no problem

How tricky would adding loop triggers be (loops 1-16)(or ofcourse you could just make it easy on yourself and add multichannel recording/playback)?

ok, i added "all channels" mode. there's also a button below the channel selector to switch between filtering or transforming the channels on output.

in other words... if you record multiple channels (channel set to "All") and then set a specific channel, you can then either play that channel by itself (Filter), or play the whole thing with all events transformed to that channel (Transform).

i also increased the stretch range.

note that these changes will affect existing patches. i could have put in something to convert the old parameter ranges, but i didn't yet.

as usual i've only done very limited testing myself, so let me know of any problems.
