MU.LAB 2.5.7 has been released:
  • Fixed: Routing a mono audio file straight to the audio output could make all output mono
  • Fixed: Bug that could cause audio clicks when using VST effects in certain circumstances
  • Fixed: Bug that could cause audio clicks when using a very short envelope release time in a system with a large audio buffer size
If you already have installed MU.LAB 2.5.5 or 2.5.6 then you can just install the latest application patch following these instructions:

http://www.mutools.com/mulab/mulab-upda ... -patch.txt

That way you don't have to re-setup anything.

If you did not yet install MU.LAB you can download the full package from http://www.mutools.com/downloads.html

It's been working well for me.

Just a small annoyance. Maybe this can be addressed as a wishlist item.

A new session default seems to be 32 bars. When adding a WAV file, that may have been previously constructed e.g. a drum track, say 150 bars long, to extend the session out to 150 bars it is necessary to drag the audio file to the end of the session, then make the session page smaller, then drag some more until 150 bars is reached.

Maybe there should be the possibility for editing the session length as a setting?

Or maybe I am missing the boat?

Right-click the part, open the "Part" menu, select "Play Entire File".

Thanks PLJ. I missed that one. Maybe it should say "Display entire file". Another mystery solved.

An interesting exercise in portability ....

This MuSession uses only embedded MuLab synths and should be portable across platforms as well as Audio and Midi ports. But won't be downward compatible to a large degree.

Although it uses the samples that are intrinsic to MuLab, the MuSession attempts to load an additional number of samples that I have used in other presets (that I do not use in this MuSession). You can click on ignore for these samples since they are not needed. I am curious if other systems can play this little ditty?

Works flawlessly here :D - though I did think a second about the samples I had to "ignore" and I was wondering if it isn't related to my multisampla question in the forums - it feels like a step you shouldn't have to take.

The samples in that MuSession are not located in the library and so when you move the MuSession to another system, the samples must be at exact the same path.

When moving a session to another system, it's best to embed your samples in the session: Edit menu -> Sample Manager -> Options -> Embed All.
