Ha ha, thats a good one.
Fwiw, I think I understand what Brent was saying, he was referring to the fact that the key trigger script wasn't there in K2.0 but was added later in K2.whatever, without writing a new manual, of course.
Out of context this is a mighty funny quote, for sure ! :D
Chris, this balalaika scripting idea sounds cool, I really fear what inquiring minds might come up with, south of balalaikas.

Yeah, I will have to agree about the Chris Hein Guitars. As cool as the Akkord Guitar is(and it is one of the cooler instruments from K2), the CHG are some of the most flexible instruments around. If you haven't considered them, I highly recommend it. They are something special!

To keep this on topic though, I do LOVE finding cool little secrets like this, so I'm glad this thread was there. It makes me feel more "value" in the things I have!

BUMP for susiwong's excellent Akkord Guitar tip! Worked the first time; I'm strumming live now with a big smile on my face.

Very strange that this great guitar hasn't been plugged in NI marketing!

Best,

Joey
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Hi Spitfire,
that's good to hear ! :)
I still often use it for sketches while recording, and most of the time non-guitarplayers don't even notice it's fake. 8)
The biggest drawback is the lack of different voicings/positions for the chords, but for a temporary track it's certainly good enough imho.
Before mixdown I replace them with real acoustics unless they are way way back in the mix.
Have fun,

Chris Hein wrote:There is a user of Chris Hein - Guitars in the UK, who told me,
he deleted all CHG-Samples in K2,
and replaced them with some Balaleika samples from Ethno-World.
Now he strums his Balaleika with the CHG Chord-Mode.
How cool is that?
... which is exactly why us consumers need to support those "open format" developers. We wouldn't otherwise have this freedom to use our digitial consumer goods as we please and as we need to... :)

All this recent talk about akkord made me finally decide to check it out.I have kontakt but being a guitar I player never really bothered to.It'll come in handy for quick scratch tracks since I often put off doing acoustic tracks until i need em so I can get things set up and restring etc.

Here's some more information how to play guitar on a keyboard. It may be useful because this site recovers some basic principles of how to play realistic voicings on a keyboard.
