Hi there, I bought the new DSi so I could try the Korg DS program, and very good it is too, but i'm having trouble with the Wi-Fi settings. I bought the Nintendo USB Wi-Fi connector, the DSi seems to connect to this, and is recognised by the Nintendo software on the PC, but during the connection test it wont connect to the internet.
The USB connector is assigned to my network in XP's Network Connections.
My service Provider is Virgin Media, and i'm using a cable modem.

Have you ensured the PC's conection is shared?
Open the network control panel for your PCs connection. Click 'Properties'. Click the 'Advanced' Tab. Tick the box beside 'Allow other network users to connect through this connection'. Reboot.

Does this thing connect to the net? (I mean other than via your own wifi??) Do you need some sort of isp contract?

No need to appologise, I've email nintendo, about the problem, and i'm still waiting for a reply. I have no idea what is wrong but as far as i'm aware everything is set up right.

Is there a reason not to use a wi-fi router instead? I've never had a problem connecting up to a router via the DS - except of course routers using WPA encryption.

I don't have a router, the Nintendo Wi-Fi connector was £30 so I thought I would buy the cheaper alternitive, I may just buy a router then I could use mt iPhone with it aswell.
