Soul.

To me, Zebra is technically great, I will give it that. In reality I can see why people like it, but I get no inspiration from it at all, in any way, not once. It's like a Porsche 911 against a Ferrari. The Porsche is the superior car on paper but there's nothing there to stir the soul.

I fire up Sylenth and I get 3-4 track ideas down every time, without fail. I know it doesn't have much bottom end but I can make that up in a mix, it feels alive to me. Zebra just doesn't.

Probably about 2-3 hours. I've spent less time buying a house so I think that's plenty.

Is Zebra CM any good? Probably more suited to a simpleton like me. I have't tried that either, what are the features, please? :)
Zebra CM is kinda Zebra1 (which was originally MAC only)

Zebra2..well, i think you'd love it...you dont need to know how it works, its been around long enought to have amazing soundbanks, both included, commercial and free user ones here.

I think I will give Zebra CM a go, if I can find any shop that sells CM in this town...I cannot afford Z2 at all at the mo.

I've got loads of CM disks with Zebra CM on it if you can't find it (I think that's allowed?!)

Zebra CM is really a great full-featured synth. Sounds fantastic. It's not difficult to understand, it's very clearly laid out. It does make me anxious to buy Zebra 2.

I have it.

Great interview with Arksun. When asked the secrets of his sound making abilities his response was pretty much. LEARN!
