dear all,
i am busy working on a vocal project right now. I have ten professional singers, with all different backrounds. I wrote some chorals and we started with some improvisations on polyrhythmic african music. It's a lot off fun!
But at this moment I dont have any new idea's. Can you help me with some inspiration? Do you know any pure vocal music? It doesn't matter if it's pop/classical/etnic... (experimental, etc.)
Thank you

I find very funny and challenging to make vocal arrangements of known music that is played by orchestras or strange things.
For instance: The Simpsons theme a capella, with all instruments made by voice. Or Tetris theme. Or the Honda Choir that reproduced the car sounds. All these is in youtube, just search for it.
You could make up something like that. A piece with percussion parts and strange sounds all made up with voices.

Play fair and square!

I will do you this favor, and then, maybe one day, you can do a favor for me...
A couple of friends and I did an acapella arrangement of White Lines by Mel Mell &Grandmaster Flash. The interchange of instrument in the song makes it interesting. It took a couple of voices to do the trumpet lines, but it was totally worth it.
