Hmmm, not directly. As far as I remember it runs fine in Reaper here and nobody else has so far reported a similar problem. Anybody here either using it in Reaper or having the same trouble?
Aha, Reaper sees the plugin during the plugin scan but doesn't give any error message or anything else while scanning. When I want to insert the plugin it's not in the plugin list. This happens with all current Reaper versions.

This is what Reapers file reaper-vstplugins.ini says about Redline Reverb:

Redline_Reverb.dll=00986276ABBDC901

In comparisson this is a typical line of another plugin:

GSnap.dll=00BC4191FC8CC701,1735999862,GSnap (GVST)

Could this be the reason?

Maybe it's a conflict of the plugin identifier (forgot the right word)?

What?

Post

As mentioned before, I can't confirm this, at least for Reaper 2.58.
This is from my Reaper VSTplugins-ini:
Redline_Reverb.dll=00986276ABBDC901,1299859309,Redline Reverb (112dB)

As a R66 user purchased this, it's a no brainer.
Thanks 112dB, great quality!

Working fine in Reaper 2.58 here as well.
Move all your plugins to a new folder except for redline reverb so you can exclude any conflicting plug ID's.
If that works you just have to move some plugs back, try redline again, repeat until done.

dj I did a search on Google today and this came up!

112dB Redline Series Reverb v1 0 VST RTAS DYNAMiCS
112dB Redline Series Monitor v1 01 VST RTAS DYNAMiCS

:bang: :dog:

:mad: fvcking goddam bastards! Cant even search google anymore with running into this shit? :tantrum:

You trying to tell me that Google can't just filter sites with common crack group names or even text formattin :roll:?

Not to get into it but the bottom line is if site owners like PirateBay can be charged and or jailed for hosting 'links to pirated software etc', then Google should be liable for allowing links to these sites to show up on searches also :box:!

Pissed off now.

This post just informed everyone (participating members and casual browsers) on kvr, if they weren't already aware.

My point is, I understand your frustration......but, in the future, why not just steer clear of any posts pertaining to such things. They only feed the curious, in my opinion.

Let's not use this great forum for that. Developers can be informed through a PM. I apologize if my tone sounds like an attack. It isn't.

Well, at least thanks for making me aware of that. I just finished analyzing their crack and let's just say: I'm not worried. Also I agree, let's drop that topic and focus on the positive!

Peace,

Anyone experienced out there who can compare it to the CSR reverb. I'm not sure if the redline reverb will give me much more what the CSR doesn't have though I must admit I will have to try the Redline reverb more extensively (thanks to the grace period of 60 days which is brilliant).
I thought about the new Aether reverb as well but I don't like the GUI and for my level of experience there are too many knobs to tweak :?
Thanks for any input
Best regards

Sorry, Opto: I share your anger, but think about it: by the same logic, you should be charged or jailed too.

I keep going back and forth on Aether, and it IS a fantastic deal at the moment, and a lot of people do simply love it. It just isn't doing it for me either. Also, absolutely not working in Wavelab, which is separate from some of the other gui issues that people have been having. So, I guess ultimately my computer is making the decision for me. :?

The Redline DOES "do it" for me though. I like it very much, and yeah, sometimes too many knobs can be counterproductive as well.

In comparison to CSR, I think Redline compares quite favorably. It's less expensive, has a slightly less obtrusive copy protection scheme, and is even more cpu efficient. Not that CSR is too bad on the cpu. What's nice about CSR is the advanced mode with the matrix where you can go in and set up a lot of different modulations, etc. What's nice about the Redline is that what you see is what you get. It's very easy to use, extremely intuitive, and most importantly of all: it sounds fantastic. There's a certain animation and let's say "life" to it that's already there and that you don't have to reach for to dial in as you do on the other two.

I'm not sure what you might have already and I'm not sure how much CSR is going for these days, and I'm not sure how it might work for your particular needs, but for $99 I think Redline can definitely do the job quite well and you'll have enough money saved to maybe get something else.

Wow! Quick testing reveals RR to quite a bit warmer than Arts Acoustic. Just prelimiary findings right now.

Thanks very much for your detailed comparison. I'm no reverb expert but when I tried the demo of the Redline reverb (the 60 day full working demo is a very generous offer btw) and compared it to my CSR I realised that I liked the CSR much more. The reverb is more smooth and dense (which might not be everyone else's cup of tea) the redline presets (didn't adjust a lot myself) are to "grainy" and the tails don't fade out smoothly enough). It seems to be good value for money but I still prefer the CSR making me able to spend 99$ elsewhere.
Please don't get me wrong, it's a very nice reverb but just not 100% my taste.
best regards
