I have version 1.00

Iv been playing whith it today, its an evil/fat sounding synth. :D The presets realy show it off. You could do a whole track whith this synth alone, i.e bass, percusion, pads and lead.

Guys, im trying it since 0.92, i'm using 1.01 now, but I have one doubt, I wish you could help me. I'm trying create a trance lead.

In novation v-station I have a knob called vel > mod, in the "envelopes" section in the "extra" window.
I have one preset that has a -64 value in this knob called vel > mod.

This knob changes a lot the sound I'm creating.
How I do this in elek7ro, please? :)

Post

confused :?:

Are you talking about velocity modulation?

If so, hate to say it cos I'm not at my daw atp....But I dont think "TAL-E" has such a mod setting........Correct me if I'm wrong.

But you could use maybe a MIDI effect of your preffered daw if it has those for doing such effects/mods.

In Ableton live it has a MIDI effect that can radomize the velocity within different settings.

Hope this helps.

You can alter how the filter responds to velocity using the Vel->Filter sensitivity slider at the bottom left. You might need to play with the Contour knob to get a decent response out of the synth.

But Elek7ro does not use velocity much as a way of modulating the sound - it doesn't even seem to have a setting to let you control attack or volume using velocity. I've rigged up some patches in Plogue Bidule to map velocity to some of the other controls to get some more responsiveness into the synth and it should be possible to do something similar in Logic.

Can't complain for free though.

I see... Thanks guys. :)

Well, just to clear things, I'm posting a sample of the sound I want, its the second part. I get the sound using a -64 value in this knob called vel > mod, like I said.

But if you are saying that elek7ro doesnt support it yet, no problem, yet is a great synth!

You should be able to do something like that with Elek7ro. Just crank the Vel->VCF slider to max, and you should be all set. You will probably have to turn the contour knob down unless you want some control. And you might have to mess with the sequencing as a Vel of 64 will open up the filter halfway and 127 will open it up fully. I'm guessing that with the other synth set at vel->mod=-64, it's the other way round.

Just thought: is this sound using an LFO or are they discrete notes? Because the LFO on Elek7ro overrides anything that the Vel->VCF slider does. So if you want to use an LFO on a trance lead, you'll have to map a MIDI controller like Modulation or Expression to the LFO Intensity and monkey with that.

Only discrete notes. Thanks for the explanation, I really like this preset.
If you use v-station, I can send u the patch by PM, only if you are interested, because I dont wanna bother you much with this.

I don't have V-Station. Thanks for the offer.

This is a strange bug!
When i use the modwheel playing Elek7ro, one midi note stays 'stuck' and it will play endlessly.
So i turn up my modwheel fully and then the last note played on the keyboard stays on.
Immediately i dragged TAL-Bassline in my arrangement and that one didn't have this problem with modwheel so i'm positive it's just Elek7ro.

I downloaded the latest version of TAL-Elek7tro and i'm using Live 8.

has anyone got TAL-elektro to work withe live 8 ? in my system, live crashes when scanning the plugin...

any hints would be appreciated,
thanks.

Edit: solved, apparently. don't know why, but it worked: deleted the .dll, rescanned the folder, re-copied the plugin, re-rescanned the folder, and voilá!

Yes...I use it in Live 8 and its fine except for the copying by drag and drop that I think was fixed in 1.00? And I havnt had a chance to test that in 1.01.... But it scanned and loaded just fine for me no issues what so ever on that.

Having the same issue here....at first I thought it was Bidule, but I'm guessing thats not what your using so it must be a bug? However I did get some strange and usable sounds when that happened

Hmmm I've tried the Elek7ro and I must say it's quite a boring synth!

... just kidding :D Great sounding analog style synth! The controls are nicely grouped to fit on Kore2 control pages so here's a default device ksd file for the Elek7ro fully mapped to Kore 2 controls (for the Kore users of us) ...
