Just a note that I'm adding the ability to loop back MIDI from racks/plugins to MIDI controller assignments etc... More here:

Hi Brad.
Getting rid of virtual midi cables is a good thing.
I am also not sure if there are any virtual midi cables compatible with 64bit OS... as far as I understand nor Marple neither MidiYoke is promised to work on 64bit...
Quoting one of your wewsite statements:
"The biggest problem with this is avoiding infinite loops but I've put in code to detect this in the most common cases. "
This is what I first thought when reading about this idea...
Maybe you wish to consider to have an option in the main settings to disable that feature unless needed? I guess beginners and even more advanced users might possible run into the feedback trap...?
Other than that it's again a brilliant idea making things more complete!

Free version is only one cable though...

Yes, interesting tools made by nerds...
Especially ipMIDI... allowing midi connects over network too.
20 bucks for LoopBe30 is also reasonably priced and a no brainer if you need more than one virtual cable.

Yes, that ipMIDI is looking promising, and there is a free MAC version!
What comes to the internal midi looping - you should maybe hold back before spending even that reasonable 20 bucks...
I know that Brad is on the case and as you all know the man is quick!

Thanks for the info, that's the only one I could find too for Vista 64. I need one to connect my old version of Hauptwerk (can't afford to upgrade) to my host, as well as a special-purpose tool I'm planning to write in Delphi tonight. I'm mighty poor at the mo, but can scrape up twenty bucks. I've used older versions of LoopBe in the past, the dev deserves a nod.TiUser wrote:20 bucks for LoopBe30 is also reasonably priced and a no brainer if you need more than one virtual cable.

Interesting that we have classic organ players in the community...Meffy wrote:... I need one to connect my old version of Hauptwerk (can't afford to upgrade...
Consider using .NET alternatively to Delphi for programming...
I've used Pascal, Delphi, C, C++ over time and lately C# .NET and have to say .NET is the most pleasurable environment I worked with
Best of all: you can download MS C# .NET 2008 express for free - it's amazing!
