Well, these days I'm using OSX mainly. I will build myself a Windows based DAW one time this year, but for now it's a Macbook...

Thanks AGreed, I really appreciate what you said. I feel kinda bad for Rene as I think he meant well, and it may just be that he is too hard on himself and confidence in his plugs will drop from that. If I thought something was no good, then I would'nt release either. Problem is a lot of times it is really good, but perfectionism starts to eat at your confidence. I think he probably is a good developer. I know he had dedicated testers, as do I, we just dont't have enough. That's also why I rely so heavily on you guys, I cannot ever have a real opinion of my work as no matter how hard I try, I will always be partial. You guys have been great, once we got past the "I'm sorry to say" stuff at the beginng, Now you guys all tell me frankly what is wrong and that is the difference between a good VST and a mediocre one.
Anyways, just thought I'd mention as well, your wish for a cabinet sim is coming true today. I have an IR cab that conmtains a 4 band EQ. It will be part of our new power amp. So, I'm crediting you and Boodolph with it, because you both had ideas towards it..So maybe you and him can come up with the name...

oh boy, this thread was in silence from like months ago before my last post, and now it's in flame again.
. It's great thing that JohnnyMcFly initiated to take over things. Sadly, just three days ago I decided to buy an acoustic guitar because i didn't get satisfying result from using deepboard. Midiworks was giving high hopes but it turned to be a discontiued one. So, Ken, keep up the good works. I actually want to volunteer as beta tester (I use FLSTUDIO) but i suck at computer stuffs (newbies in computer music), besides my guitar playing sucks too. So, I'll just stay and watch this thread, and be a faithfull potential user of your vst (hopefully it's for windows though).
Cheers!!

Soerja, Thats a great thing that you have an acoustic, You can definately help with making an impulse response. So the first idea is to build a version of Whisper our clean guitar amp that reads IR files. Those IR files are going to be similar to the technique we use for our Pickup Replacer technology, RedShift. I have offered Aribai the opportunity to take the lead on this project, just waiting for an answer back from him. Either way, I will have that amp built tomorrow and we can start testing with IR's ASAP. So if all goes well we can have a beta version as early as next weekend. This is dependant of course on how quickly we all get moving. If yu want to come aboard, Email me..

Yep Hink, I need you to join the beta testers group and become part of this...That would be great and we have a great bunch of testers who are like minded individuals with a lot of knowledge..
So..Just wanted to show you guts something while I'm here...
The finished version of RedShift Pickup replacer is complete, and is in its final test stages..RedShift will be part of a suite of effects. The suite consists of a Stereo Delay, Noise Gate, 5 Band +/- 30 db Parametric EQ, own enhanced Cab Shaper. and og course RedShift. $24.99USD. See a VST company can keep the prices down..Beta Testers will have all our VST plugs at no charge, obviously..
Anyways, Here's a sreenshot..

Thanks Guys,
Ken

OK I think I have the amp built and just waiting to see who is hoping on board, I need Acoustic IR's, I have recorded a demo of the what I have so far. And I don't want to call it an acoustic modeler yet, But I think I'm on the right path. All I had availabe to use for an IR was one from RedShift. I used the Lipstick pickup IR. But I really want to hear this thing with an acoustic IR...
Anyways, Here's a screenshot, and here's an example of how it sounds with a lipstick pickup. I think using Whisper's Presence technology was the right way to go...Well you'll see what I mean. It probably will get a lot closer with Acouistic IR's. But we'll see..I certainly am not going to make any claims about it at this point...

The following Example was recorded on a Samick electric with no effects whatsoever. Only The above pictured effect

Well...I am not sure... It is going to be a process for sure. But not just accurate IR's IR's that work with the software. So, I'm all ears and I will be making a version of the software that will allow you to load IR's for testing. The guys who worked with me on RedShift are going to be busy with something else we're doing, but I think I will ask them to sort of step in and help us out for a while..

John, I am honored if you want me to hop on board. Well, I'll send you email (but now I'm just too hooked up to KVR forums). I have an acoustic guitar with battery powered pickup. How do i help for your project?
