Hi,

i just downloaded the Rhino Demo and while i like the Gui a lot and its basic sound, the Presets didnt impress me really that much...too much fx, not structured (e.g. in pads or acustic emulations) and not too versatile in the choice of sounds.
I understand that there are a lot of banks and happy users raving about them, but with these presets you wont attract a big mass of customers, i suppose (but it may be me).
So please make up a new demo bank with some of the best patches (let people vote for them) and perhaps add a noiseburst if you fear that people download the demo without thinking of buying.

Kind Regards, Richard

You're 100% right. The demo presets were done with one of the first versions of Rhino - it has improved quite a lot since then, but the demo presets haven't changed.

This said, you can get the idea of the other banks with the mp3's on my site.

Cheers,

there are two things about the presets (1) they are very heavy on the cpu; if you can handle them, you can easily handle the other banks. (2) they are also biased very heavily toward that which is unique to rhino.

for a more "down to earth" example, why dont you download, "tutorial 1" (from tic's site), and use that as a guide to creating your own preset. you wont be able to save it in the demo version, but that is ok -- it will still give you a taste of programming rhino, and an example of a very classic VA-subtractive style sound.
