Fair enough. I hadn't realised I'd insulted him, even by proxy.
At least you only disagreed with my approach.
Cheers,
Nigel

Well, it was beginning to be a number of people jumping to conclusions, feeling burned, not just you. I just wanted to step in and say, I know the developer is respected in his field -- he has a really good reputation, so I feel it's reasonable to expect he is going fix this.nigel_khan wrote:Fair enough. Again, I spent my $10 too. But I am very confident that Aaron will fix this issue, he has a good reputation and before hearing about this glitch, I thought this was an amazing deal. I just don't feel good about people trashing a developer because they found some issue. Let's say Aaron fixes this issue today and we're all extremely happy, now other people who are looking at this thread are going to have some pretty bad impressions about the developer and I know that he just started his own business after years of sampling and doing programming for Bela D under their name.
Anyhow, beyond the glitches, what is your overall impression of the library? (I'm on my office computer and do not even have my DAW PC with Kontakt set up at the moment.)

I don't want to insult the guy, I was just saying that these loud clicks are something that should not be in a released library, since they are really evident (just play A2 with the fingered bass).
I was inclined to think that the problem was a corrupted download on my side, but it seems that others have the same problem.
I know that this is an incredible deal, still I hope to have something usable in the end (the clicks appears to be a bad looping problem, but the samples are not looped in kontakt)

OK! Now I'm not happy! I've e-mailed support and included a link to this thread!

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Oh man
I found the problem with the clicks. They were introduced when we batch processed to calm the noise from the pickups earlier this week (it's a 72 bass) When we tested it the clicks slipped by as we casually played it, all seemed fine.
Trust me, had it been known first hand, it would've been taken care of. There's no way we would have knowingly passed it on.
This can and will be fixed. Everyone that purchased it, will receive new links by end of the day.
Best regards,
Aaron

Hi Aaron,
Firstly, I like the sound of the bass. It has a nice hint of growl.
Can you check the scripts for the errors I mentioned and also correct the path problem?
Cheers,
Nigel

I knew the man would come through! For a deal like this, I wouldn't care if I have to wait a week for the fix! Okay, I know with that last statement I definitely am not speaking for anyone else who posted in this thread!Aaron Dirk wrote:Oh man![]()

But seriously, where else are you going to get a high quality 1 GB Kontakt sampled bass library with round robin programming for 10 bucks (US)? If anyone else knows, please tell me! I'm also game for high quality piano, drums, guitar, strings and trons Kontakt sample libraries priced at $10 each. I'll even let the developer make one error on the first download that he can fix later that day in return for selling it to me for $10. Any takers? I thought not. That's exactly why this is such a great deal.

Thanks for your quick reply, Aaron.
The clicks are during the sustain phase of the note (something like a second after the attack) so probably this is the reason they were not noticed.
Regarding the path problem, I already resaved the Kontakt instruments, so it's not really a big deal, and the problem was with just one of the 2 programs.

This quick response by the dev has really thrown a monkey wrench into the pitchfork\torch bundle group buy I was planning.
I bought it last night based on the demo tune and all I can say is that you should advertise more!!! Your guitar library demos are seriously impressive and seem to be one of the best kept secrets I've run across in a while! I almost wish I didn't know how to play the guitar.

I will pass on your error messages to the script author.
Can you please provide your kontakt version for me to pass on as well.
Best regards,
Aaron
