Audio Master Bus

Hi.

While looking into the "audio master bus" feature I asked mysef if I could use this like stereo sums in a mixer for main stereo, stereo monitors, etc.

Hovever there is just one master level fader on the home control tab...

Is there any way to control levels of each master bus channel individually, without going into the audio master bus setup dialog box?

No, there's nothing like this (yet).

...well, there is a bus template for stereo pairs configuration...

...ok, not yet, maybe later?...

I wonder how one can use this great ultimate multi channel master bus... does one still need analogue wheels for that...?

Is there any workaround? :help:

Didn't check this yet but probably it's possible to add empty "master racks" for each stereo output pair, assign the wanted bus components to fade and do the job via these racks faders? This would also allow to assign external faders...

Referring to the rack audio flow schema the "problem" seems to be that it would need to load a "dummy passthrough" plugin to use the "wet" control to fade the selected busses while setting "dry" to zero...

Maybe there is a simple solution that transforms a rack to a special "master" rack? Just an idea so far... :-o

Hi

I've played around a bit with the multichannel master bus...

It seems to work just as 1:1 connections. In other words I can't assign a plugins output to more than one master bus line. To do that would need additional rack functionallity or a plugin routing and multiplying input to many outputs of the master bus...

Guess I'll need some enlightment how the master bus is intended to use, especially when it comes to the "auxiliary" lines in the bus.

A lot of plugins are just stereo, so how to benefit from the many master busses?

:help:
