This Cynthia has the look (a bit "Merry Christmas") but not the sound...

Synthi AKS by Richard Brooks is much better... And the best is KX-Synth-X16, by kx77free, a really powerful and good sounding EMS-like machine..

I spat out my cup of tea when i saw the price for that a month or two ago, is it for real? If so that is big money even compared to many, many commercial VSTi synth developer's going rates. "Boutique SynthEdit Virtual Instruments!!?" thats a new one for the catergory lol.

I have the kx77 one and his stuff in general is good quality sounding from the times i have had a play with them :) and also this one i came accross on dontcrack.com, not sure if its been seen on this thread before/if it has then i missed it:

http://www.dontcrack.com/freeware/downl ... Le-Synthe/

It sounds quite good to my ears although im no synth expert and its a damned sight cheaper than the $500 job plus it looks just as nice also

The Rehberg's AVS thing is really good but really too much expensive... The guy who made it with synthedit does not care, obviously...
Le Synthé is much overrated, not stable, difficult to use because its behaviour is not like the original AKS, and its UI is uggly...
The kx77 one is by far the best free one...
EFM did a version too, which is better than Cynthia, but not as good as KX77 or Brooks ones...

this one had popped out some ago, if my memory serves you can hit search for "meesha" vsts on this thread, as i cannot recall the URL here at the moment..there should be at least other 4 of them
i was liking this one when it came out long ago, but developer seems to have disappeared from action field..
tried not long ago, definitely one only to be filed for archiving purposes and nothing much more, IMO ...
this one kicks ass and after some payware period it became freeware, and i really said to myself "oh f**king YEAH" when i read about that...
although the dev was already providing a free cutdown version, the full one is really pure fun

Peace out
