what is ID8 - it's on the rack

Also it looks like it will have that lovely reason control voltage thing going on - which allows you to use audio to affect synth/fx parameters

Something which logic/cubase/sonar/reaper definitely do not have
I believe every thread should devolve into character attacks and witch-burning. It really helps the discussion.

Looks lovely - basically I see it now as Reason for audio. Pity it doesn't have midi and audio though and this time I see no justification for not allowing plugins.

ID8 looks like an instrument module, maybe a GM module? Keep in mind that I have never seen pics or information about Record until tonight myself. So I have shared most of what I have(I left out the boring parts of the press release above).

Thanks. I'm feeling MUCH better now, but stupid sinus problems still linger. Makes it hard to think sometimes. But most of the flu-like stuff is gone.

ID8 is a simple rompler, GM-style. The sample sets are great but the tweakability is zero.

And yes, it's CV all over the place as usual. For example, sidechaining inputs on all mixer channels for the per-channel compressors. So forget the "20 cables" thing mentioned earlier, it's down to one now.

A real shame it's only a rewire slave.

I still can't use the props sequencer to control my VST/outboard :(

Oh it does have a midi sequencer too - does look good. The sequencer in reason is the closest to Tracktion I have seen in a sequencer
