Hi :)
Since I bought desktop version of Blofeld, i'm looking for good midi keyboard controller for it.
After reading about a half of whole internet ;) i'm thinking about X-Station 61 (I like to have a lot of keys) as a "way-to-go".
Is anybody used this kind of combination? I have few questions about it... :help:
Is it possible to use all knobs and buttons with blofeld? (maybe it needs to be configured somehow?)
Is it possible to use both synths (blofeld and x-station) at one time? (that I can change between blo and the X-st sounds)
Is it possible to connect two devices at one time to midi in (like blofeld and something else) and control them from X-Station?

What else I should know about before I waste my money for it? ;)

If my questions are silly - forgive me, I'm new to this whole midi/synth stuff :] and any tips for noob like me are very appreciated :)

It's a great combination. It's possible to use all the knobs, you can configure them. Not sure about using Blo and X-Station at the same time, it might be possible. You would need a MIDI 2x2 box or something to control more than one module at one time (or use MIDI THRU).

Go for it.

I had that very combination for a while, and it worked well. It is easy to create a template on the X Station to control the Blofeld, which helps make tweaking more enjoyable. You can't use the X Station as a synth and a controller at the same time, it is either or unfortunately. I don't think a separate midi interface even makes a difference. It is just the way the X Station is designed. Still both toys are good.
