I just spent about 6 hours playing with all these synths! Amazing! I've had more fun with the micromoog emu and the juno 6 emu than I've had with any other softsynth. It's like every knob I tweak gives me some kind of sound that I love. The arp oddesey is great too. So is the sonic six one....ok I guess they're all really good but I've had more fun with these than the rest, but especially the micromoog and juno 6.

You know I've never owned a real analog synth...so I wouldn't know how "analog" these actually sound, but all I can say is that these synths are giving off a certain texture that has depth that's almost palpable. Don't know how else to explain it..probably purely psychological, but I have new go-to synths for analog sounds.

That's exactly how I feel. Every tweak feels musical and satisfying somehow. I don't know how he pulled it off.

I also feel a bit sad for the Mac users that can't use these in OS X.

Anybody else having problems downloading the updated plugs on the devs new link? Comes up 0 bytes and unexpected end of archive?

*EDIT* nvm. I just used the repair archive tool and rebuilt it and allz well.

*EDIT2* some of the dll's came up corrupt.

Anyone wanna up the the new(fixed) pack plz

So Lame. The developer shouldn't have to sign in just to defend claims from lames. This is the best pack of free VST emulators next to TAL as far as I know. Just play!!!
I don't give a flying f**k what the excuse is or how good anyone thinks they are. It's not right to change module names to hide proper credit. It pisses people off and it's not nice.

I asked Christian Budde what he was thinking about all this (and Dave Haupt for that matter) ....

Basically the license for the open source modules are LGPL, so they should include a reference to the place where the original (source code) can be found. However, I already violated the license by myself, by not adding such a text to the modules itself. The reason for this is the fact that I want to move to a lesser license (eventually MPL), because I want that the modules are used by external developers without any burden. I do like a reference, but then I found such reference in the licence.txt bundled with the plugins, which is OK for me.

Hey Mr. Novaflash.

I just tried a again still comes up unexpected end of archive and when I repair it, it says the Davos synth dll iz corrupted.

I shot the dev a pm about it(no reply yet) but, hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I just downloaded the update ... zip unpacked with no problems and plugs are working fine here.

And what does this mean? Go ahead change the name and ID, pretend like it's your code and don't reference the real coder at all? Because that's what this guy did.

What he did is not exactly illegal but it is low class and smarmy. There is an accepted way for people to use 3rd party SE modules and give proper credit. Changing the name and ID is not acceptable.

yeah... there was bound to be some manner of imperfection discovered by the microscope of the kvr elite.. but.. now it is fixed and i guess now even more then perfect since it already was.....

back to non stop praising of these amazing plugs , created by someone who seems to actually have some talent.... hmmmmmm
