Hi liquidsonics,
a question: Will in the fullversion a IR library included?

Post

koolkeys wrote:Ok, my tests of the latest version(0.912) were using Cantibile for quick testing of the knobs. However, that version doesn't scan in Cubase 5. It just stops at Reverberate and nothing happens. If I quit the Cubase process, it blacklists Reverberate and won't add it to the list.
It seems to be to do with the tweaks I made to the thread priorities and sleep schemes to improve GUI responsiveness (so I can always revert to the old mechanism any time). I've posted an update with a candidate fix (though I don't have C5 so can't test it personally).

A small number of IR presets are included, but as far as a serious, hundred gigabyte plus IR library, I don't think so; there are so many freely available cracking good sources of IRs that I think I can be more productive spending time on the software side of things. Maybe my opinion will change over time if a lot of people point this out as a weakness.

Cool, I'll check the fix here in a bit. Most of my testing will be on Cubase 5, though I do have others like Sonar 7, Podium, Kore Software Edition, and more. So it depends on time. But if you ever need something specific tested on C5, let me know.

Will give this a whirl later today...

Thanks

FYI - The latest version does not show up in Cantabile at all, although Reverberate-LE does. FL Studio lists both ok.

Reverberate also fails to scan in Cubase 4.5.2 (WinXP).

Not had time to check it out yet but looks good, will do soon. But it would be nice if you could fade between the 2 IRs using an amplitude modulated envelope rather than/aswell as an LFO. 8)

I've posted an update (v0.914) which rolls back most features to the state in v0.911 (the thread priority stuff is removed which perhaps is causing deadlock issues).

Let me know if this fixes the Cubase issue or if it's still a bit messed up :? So if the cubase users (egbert, koolkeys) could let me know if it has helped I'd appreciate it.

John-E34: I tested in Cantabile Solo 2.0 (demo) and it seemed to work ok, which version was the issue with? Did you try a plugin rescan to refresh? Perhaps try with the new version if you can.

If anybody still has major issues then v0.911 is still available for the time being until I hear the issues have been sorted out: http://www.liquidsonics.com/software/Se ... _0.911.exe

This is a good idea, thanks, I'll note it down for the next major revision as it's going to require a bit of redesign.

Thanks to minx and xyzt for the mac votes.

Ok, will check shortly. I know I said that last night, but work got in the way, then I crashed(to sleep, not in a car or anything).

I've had another go at the threading system and hope the freeze at load issue has gone. Now up to v0.915 (via the main site http://www.liquidsonics.com/software.htm). If this isn't working feel free to try a few past versions and let me know what works in Cubase, Canabile etc. I've tested 0.915 under Cantabile 2, Sonar, Reaper, Live 8 and FL.

Last suspected good release:
http://www.liquidsonics.com/software/Se ... _0.911.exe
Release without thread priority setting (which was done to improve GUI responsiveness) as posted a few hours ago (I think Reverberate one works but Reveberate LE GPU in 0.914 didn't work):
http://www.liquidsonics.com/software/Se ... _0.914.exe

Hmm, this feels a lot more like a beta phase than it did a few days ago :) Again thanks to all the testers and sorry to keep posting updates!

Downloading the latest now. I'll post back within a few minutes with the results!

The latest version seems to run just fine. I didn't do a rescan, but it loads very quickly and I don't see any big problems.

I do notice one thing about the knob delay I talked about earlier. It seems that the IR1 editor doesn't have any delay, while the IR2 editor is the one that has the slight "glitch" delay.

As I said before, this is very minor and it's still much better than it was originally. But is there something different in the way each IR is handled? Or is just just dependant on the IR that is loaded into each one?

Oops... Downloaded the latest version and re-scanned with Cantabile, still not listed. I looked further and found Reverberate.dll had been added to the exclude list.

I de-selected the dll and scanned again... Reverberate is now showing up.

Sorry to add to your woes, when I was at fault.
