Hahaha ! That poor Daniel Levitin ! :cry:
A friend here (I did a music program on the radio with him) and great music lover, adores to sing loud along with songs.
He sings them perfectly, with the exact error of 1 semi note !!! :o
He is really unique !

Yes, absolutely. In some ways, being overly sensitive to the original key of a song can make it harder to transpose pieces. It's sort of like eidetic (photographic) memory--both a blessing and a curse.

I heard something similar about 200years ago. Well, it seems like that length of time. In those days, the experts were claiming that people alway sang a fifth above the original pitch!
