OK, I tried, but as usual with rapidshare, I waited 31 seconds 5 times, and each time I got that 'download timed out' message.

I hope I'm slipping in under the wire; it's 11:37 in eastern time US! Here is my submission, and incidentally I think maybe the first song I've ever actually finished. That said it's over compressed and likely has screwy bass (no real monitors) but take a listen anyway - sounds kinda old schoolish to me.

18 instances of Elec7ro, a bit of delay, a bunch of compression and limiting, and some EQ on the snare.

unfortunately true...i had to give up on mine half way through as my old 1.8ghz was always struggling for breath...
still i think in terms of sound this synth is absolutely worth its high cpu cycles.
looking forward to setup my new system and enjoy this great synth to the full and take to a finish my composition.(u guys lucky i didnt finish

anyway not listened to all entries....but from what i heard theres such texture similarity across tracks this synth is almost genre defining....and i love the sound of all. its that early 80s relived but with its own charchter twist and better production.

For the CPU load..:
To make the whole piece in one track was impossible.
The first track consists of
[bell-low / bell-high / bell-solid / saw-pad / bass-low / bass-high / fx (sampled) / stereo-pad 1 / 2 / 3 / lowmid-pad] (10 running instances) , plus some eq's, compressors and one IR reverb.
The second track of [kick / snare-soft / snare-hard / chh / ohh] all sampled, plus a living Elek7ro to layer the hats.
All 192khz. As someone somewhere in this topic stated, you can't do more than a "One Synth Challenge" with this synth..

Also there's no velocity sensitivity..

It became my saw-pad of choice, though.

marcusz .... I got a feeling that your track was going to develop into something which would be my fave so far .... and then it stopped!

the balance of sounds was, errr ... I dont know, there was just some kind of promise ... like it was the warm up phase to something that was gonna be BIG!

I hope this encourages you to take it further .... nice sounds!

Hey, thanks. To be honest, I was so busy that I didn't realize the deadline for this had arrived. So ... yeah, I rushed to whip up some sounds but didn't develop them into anything substantial. I plan on doing something proper for the Crystal challenge, though. Maybe even get a start on it earlier than the night of the deadline...

Track's called TAL-Tastic (obvious name isn't it? )
It's done with 8 instances of this little piece of software. Various Kjaerhus Classic effects have been used as well.
It's a sort of Deep House thingy with an 80s feel to it

This is the only entry I haven't gotten to download. Anyone have a working file of this?
