Tribe is our all new clean amp, and is designed to give you pure, crystal
clear clean tones, providing you with the perfect blank canvas to further sculpt your tone. Using technologies borrowed from Whisper and RedShift and with the option of loading an Impulse Response file of your choice, Tribe is designed to give out a smooth stream of constant clean tone. Whether you're tired of your current amp sim's clean tones or are just looking for a blank canvas to experiment with, give Tribe a shot and we're sure you won't be disappointed!

Tribe came to be as a means of acoustic modeling. The original idea was to place an IR in front of a clean amp and see what we could get. Well, that didn't quite work out. However, what Tribe represents is a means for you to experiment with this concept. So if you have any knowledge of creating IR files, try creating some Acoustic IR's and place them in tribe. You never know we may just be able to model an acoustic after all. When you have a good IR for use with tribe, please share it with us at acmebargig.com.

INFO:
Loaded IR files populate the first selection in the drop down list. All other IR files in this list are from RedShift and they are pickups.

Anyways, despite the website and all the trouble we had this past week, we still managed to fandangle something for you this week, We really hope you enjoy this next serving of AcmeBarGig...

This thing is screaming treble! Damn. Pretty cool, definitely not a copy of other people's stuff.

Thanks RBR...I think? :)

Turn the treble down...LOL

No, you gotta have the treble up. I only tried it with an electric and a distortion pedal so far.

The input volume is super high, my distortion pedal had to be super low in output volume.

I'm gonna go try it on acous and bass now.

Edit: Not enough midrange for acoustic, didn't try it on bass. Ran efm muff plugin into it, I think the quick description is "high sonic qualities". Definitely the best acmebargig plug yet.

This is the kind of stuff that comes out nowadays, in modern recordings. You should promote it around the web. Revalver and guitar rig sound like old socks.

Really? Damn I wasn't even trying that hard either...Thanks RBR. we have a new Cabinet enhancer coming out that you place after your IR cab. What it attempts to do is place more of a dynamic to the sound. I use multiple envelope followers to adjust the gain on up 4 frequencies. So I have always felt that IR is good, but it fell short on creating volume dynamic. So these envelope followers will read your input intensity and adjust the gains accordingly, well actually the gain intensity is set by you. This is part of a technology I'm calling EAR. Enhanced Audio Resonance. The ABG testers have it already. So we'll see what happens from there..

Thanks for yet another generous plugin!!

Until now I've been using Voxengo Boogex but this looks very interesting!

I disagree. Old socks can have a very funky, worn out and frayed tone, where Revalver and Guitar Rig's amps sound more like new nylon/poly blend dress socks.

Thanks Kevin!! YOU ROCK!! It looks like this might be a very useful component in my live VST rig.

Personally I prefer the warm fuzzy sound of cotton tube socks.
:hihi:

OK Then...Thats it, we have to add old socks to the material section of RedShift. Man I swear I get so much influence from you guys!

Speaking of RedShift, I have an experimental version of that going into beta today. Its called RedShift Overdrive. It uses the Inverse Frequency snapshot to overdrive the frequencies generated by the materials and Pickups. I have been experimenting with Saturation and Overdrive techniques lately and this is one of the things I came up with. In addition to EAR technology which will make its debut in our New Cab Enhancer.
