A new version of Grizzly was uploaded today based on the latest SynthEdit build v1.143. Please report any bugs you find!

Features:
* New sampler engine
* Compatible with older versions (Report any bugs!)
* Multicore support (No crashes when running multiple instances)
* CPU optimizations
* Faster loading time
Seems the last build is stable ...

Well that $40 dollars was lost until an hour ago.. ;)
Could be worse. You coulda invested that $40 in AIG stock, for example.

From all accounts, Jeff has fixed the multicore problem. However, he has not yet declared the beta version of SE 1.1 stable enough for official release. He's still regularly fixing bugs and the last few times someone (including me) has asked on the SE list if people think 1.1 is ready for production work, no one even bothered to answer.

So as much as I'd like to make the switch to 1.1 (which would require some rebuilding of my stuff, due to various incompatibilities), I don't want to make that jump until I can feel more confident that 1.1 is safe to work with. I know other SE devs are waiting for the same thing.

Well, it sounds like they're making amends, if not apologies, to previous customers, too. So, IMHO, I'll trust them enough to grab a fresh SWP8 and get it authorized without all the previous voodoo.

Strange you say that, it is exactly what I was thinking.

Make me thinks about that Prodyon guy which we saw a couple of months ago before disapering again, remember that Agonyx Trance Synth?

Chris was apologetic in his email to me and earlier today sent the new reg code for the mega bundle. So the Superwave stuff is installed and working again after a long layoff. And the C/R registration method is gone (which is the thing that pissed off people so much in the first place).

Also, isn't P8 freeware?

Ah, I meant Performer. It's been a while.

Clearly you PC users are a much nicer bunch. Us Mac users wouldn't let it lie so easily. :?
Agreed.

KVR is a strange place. Some developers have been offering responsive support for their dongled plugins yet still being hated to gut. Some dodgy developers were given a second chance w/o confession and public explaination after disapearing for, ehm, YEARS! Some of you kind souls are simply inviting a chance to be stabbed again.

I emailed them and I, too, received a new code (I had to re-download the proper bundle - it worked fine after that).

It looks like whoever took over for Superwave can actually be trusted - for now.

Chris has been very responsive and I am reasonably impressed.

Errrrrr :D
Karmacomposer wrote:Don't buy anything from them. They disappeared without a trace a long time ago and many many people were stuck with no way to use their products if they needed to re-install them for any reason. They were even accepting orders and never fullfilling them for a time.

Buyers beware.

Then :roll:

what's it to be Mike :D

So true. Mike from Admiral Quality raves like a rabid loon (can birds get rabies? I guess not... :P ) but offers a much higher quality product and excellent service, but he's dead to many people here. IMHO, I'd rather the bark than the bite.

The new demo songs are awful, BTW.

I messed around with Superwave P8 sometime ago, before the Superwave company vanished for years.

Angel
I notice THIS just now. Thanks!
