Tarkus looks like my MS2000 threw up on it.
(still looks very nice though!)

Thanks for the history lesson.Karmacomposer wrote:Don't buy anything from them. They disappeared without a trace a long time ago and many many people were stuck with no way to use their products if they needed to re-install them for any reason. They were even accepting orders and never fullfilling them for a time.
Buyers beware.

ugo wrote:From all accounts, Jeff has fixed the multicore problem. However, he has not yet declared the beta version of SE 1.1 stable enough for official release. He's still regularly fixing bugs and the last few times someone (including me) has asked on the SE list if people think 1.1 is ready for production work, no one even bothered to answer.
So as much as I'd like to make the switch to 1.1 (which would require some rebuilding of my stuff, due to various incompatibilities), I don't want to make that jump until I can feel more confident that 1.1 is safe to work with. I know other SE devs are waiting for the same thing.
Thanks for the info Ugo!...

I would doubt its the same people doing both at once...pikadilly wrote:Agreed.samsam wrote:Wow, you guys on here willing to let past performance by the devs be forgotten or the one guy saying it was only $40 lost, you really are generous in spirit. I salute you.
Clearly you PC users are a much nicer bunch. Us Mac users wouldn't let it lie so easily.
KVR is a strange place. Some developers have been offering responsive support for their dongled plugins yet still being hated to gut. Some dodgy developers were given a second chance w/o confession and public explaination after disapearing for, ehm, YEARS! Some of you kind souls are simply inviting a chance to be stabbed again.
Dongle Haters > SuperWave Haters
Non-Dongle Haters > Forgiving or Indifferent to SuperWave

I think it was on purpose..If you're lucky enough to own a Korg MS2000, then you can use the MS2000's control surface to edit most of the Tarkus's common control parameters.

Well, before and after. Before they re-surfaced and were taking people's money and not sending them keys - and now, many years later, someone resurfaces, not sure if it is the original guy, if there was illness, legal battle, etc, but now a dude named Chris is answering emails promptly and curteously. He seems to be making ammends and attempting to foster good will considering all the CRAP that happened previously with Superwave.rob_lee wrote:Errrrrr![]()

It looks like whoever took over for Superwave can actually be trusted - for now.

I will not edit out my first post because it's the truth and deserves to be there. However, my second reply and now this one is advising differently, for now, because like a few others, I re-emailed them when finding out they were 'active' again and, lo-and-behold, I actually received a reply and action on their part.
In the past, I had emailed them dozens of times and NEVER got a response - and neither did anyone else - for YEARS. That is why the before and after.

Some people realize their life is in the bottom of the 8th inning,
and decide they'd better get something good happening, before it's too late.
Who knows when the time will come to feed the daisies?...sometimes the game is
cancelled because of darkness, sometimes because of unforseen circumstance,
and sometimes because the number has been called.
edit: Tarkus is pretty nice in the sound department

So, without any explanation on why they disappeared and without an apology they are back expecting us to welcome them?
:nutter: Give me a break!
They failed as a company, they failed to their costumers and they were taking money without delivering the purchased product. This last has a name: fraud.
Therefore, they can f*ck themselves! Case closed.

Well, humans are forgiving creatures, and life is all about second chances. For example, you now have a second chance to give them money and get screwed. See how that works?alienmachine wrote:So, without any explanation on why they disappeared and without an apology they are back expecting us to welcome them?:nutter: Give me a break!
