Back in the day when there weren't that many competitors, Superwave P8 was a powerhouse analog synth. It has been many years and tons of analog synths, some better, some worse, than Superwave.

I'm one of their 2004 casualties. Bought all 3 plugins they had at the time.
I'm seriously thinking about suing them for negligence!

I don't know, can he just waltz back onto the scene after everything that has happened and "all will be well"?Karmacomposer wrote: LOL. Just email them now - Chris will get you your replacement serials and all will be well.

Seems like some kind of public statement should be forthcoming............

Well FWIW that just worked out for me. And Performer is still a pretty nice synth. In fact, it's just a tiny bit moldy at the edges, giving it a classic digital dinosaur feel. I'll be quite tempted to use it in future.Karmacomposer wrote:LOL. I agree - but you know what will happen. Chris will make a statement and then there will be a public hanging until it gets locked.
At this late date in the game, it does not matter what he says or the reasons why - but I totally agree that there is simply no excuse for abandoning your clients for any reason, and more importantly, it is a CRIME to accept money and give no product in return - aka FRAUD. What he needs to do now is hear from every single person they accepted orders from and email them their serial keys - and perhaps with a free little 'gift' to say 'I'm Sorry'. That would go a LONG way towards forgiveness. Currently, he seems to be doing one half of that.

Apparently Eddie is no longer involved and if I remember correctly, Eddie was the guy handling the support in the past. Perhaps that's where the problem lies. I'm only guessing. Anyway, it looks like Chris is giving the D-808 and D-909 products to prior mega bundle (Performer, Professional, and Trance Pro) customers as a gift.
Karma is right. Chris needs to make a statement on their website and offer great support to everyone (which he has been doing lately). Especially those users that ordered products and never received their initial registration codes (Is there anyone here in that position?). Entering the fray here at this time will likely lead to a mess.

Chris told me he has a 6 month old daughter now so if you combine that with all the work he seems to be putting into setting things right (and if he is in fact working alone) then I would guess that he probably wouldn't feel like getting into a debate on a public forum..
Having said that a quick explanation and apology posted on his site would be enough I reckon.. Not that I'm waiting for it but I know some are..

Ok, I guess If I have a six month old daughter and some trouble, its ok to go out and assail a few people and steal their money....
This guy has stolen money as well from various people. What does it help me, if I get a new auth code today when I could not use the synth that I bought for some years now and was forced to give away more money for replacement synths ??
I really can't believe what I am reading here....

Feel free to go to the UK and arrest him. Otherwise, let's see what he does.rasmusklump wrote:Ok, I guess If I have a six month old daughter and some trouble, its ok to go out and assail a few people and steal their money....

I have tried all the synths, the only one I didn't liked is the Performer, some of the patches sounds a bit cheap. Otherwise I liked those 808-909 drum modules, for the price they're ok, not the best thought... Funnily enough, the Trance-Pro & Professional ones seems to be the exact same thing as the free P8 except for the build-in arp! Maybe I missed something?

He obviously had his 6 month old daughter errmm 6 months ago...and all that other crap was 4 years ago.. so unless he had a baby first, built a time machine and then travelled back to 4 years ago I don't see how that statement makes sense..rasmusklump wrote:Ok, I guess If I have a six month old daughter and some trouble, its ok to go out and assail a few people and steal their money....
So he stole their money twice??This guy has stolen money as well from various people.
It means you can use the synths now instead of using them 4 years ago... not unless you can borrow Chris' time machine and go back and give yourself the codes and software..What does it help me, if I get a new auth code today when I could not use the synth that I bought for some years now and was forced to give away more money for replacement synths ??
I was just thinking the same thing..I really can't believe what I am reading here....

The sound quality is better on Professional/Trance pro..If you have them dump the P8..SampleScience wrote:..the Trance-Pro & Professional ones seems to be the exact same thing as the free P8 except for the build-in arp! Maybe I missed something?
