It's been a while since I played my planet's songs for you all, so:

Shak Treatment

A harmless little ditty that originally started out as a raga, complete with sitar solo and tablas. :)
However, it mutated into the extraterrestial polka I normally do, and such niceties got lost in the translation :?

Comments and/or pictures of your sister welcome :)

hi ew

I like it. It sort of drifts along and the ethnic feel is cool. Are some of the sounds from the new Kore soundpack? I like the laid-back feel of the drums and the unexpected noises that appear from time to time.

Mix-wise I'm probably not qualified to comment :-) but it sounds very smooth and pro to my non-golden ears!

Indeed they are. The drone's from the Authentic Sitar (as was the sitar lead that got junked), and a great part of the background's the MF samples and patches that come with North India loaded into my modified MF (everything's mapped out to Kore controllers). Needless to say, what starts out as a pretty drone thing mutates into something best used for clearing out small rooms :)

That sounds cool. When you say your modified MF do you mean the ensemble itself is modified? Or just that you've mapped the controls to Kore user pages? If it's the latter I don't suppose it's available as a Kore patch on the NI forum is it? :)

Very nice soundscapes, interesting drones, I enjoyed it (final transition to a weird place included)

Cheers

Wow. This one starts like an ethno piece and then ... unconciously ... creepy ... evolves into space or another dimension. This is somehow ultimate flower power - and a great piece of very adorable work!

Thank you for sharing,

Cool track. Loving the mix of atmospheric spaciness and the echoey tanpura/tambura. The lazy beats are nicely programmed as well. It makes me think of someone stalking through the dimly lit streets of an Indian cityscape in the year 2109!

Good work.

Both- I put in remote control over snap and bank, and have morphing between snaps built in as well. I could put out my mods as an "upgrade kit" I suppose, with a "how to" guide depending on what version of MF you use. The EIv2 Koresounds use 1.3A and B, while the newer MF .ksds as in Animated Circuits and North India use 1.4. There's a couple discrepancies in automation IDs between the versions that you have to compensate for in the .ksd

OK, now I'll go have a listen to your tune...

Edit: Yeah a nice listen. I really liked it. Some of it reminded me of the intro/outro on Pearl Jam's Ten.
