If there isn't there should be a way to set the pitch detector in Zebrify to hold the last detected note. I guess the pitchness control should also control the threshold for last note detected. That would be cool.

Yeah, holding the last detected note would probably make more sense than dropping to zero...

Just been playing around with Zebrify and I am very impressed. I've been having lots of fun and I think I'm only just scratching the surface

Uno question tho, when you are running a sound through it and you call up an FMO or a OSC you can hear the sustained sound of it throughout.

Is there any way of turning this off or a wet/dry adjustment that I've missed?

I started playing around with modulating the volume with the 'transient' of the audio I was passing through it with moderate success. Just wondering if there's any other work-arounds or if there's something I've missed!

Like I say, I'm very impressed and big thanks to Mr Urs....

You got it... turn volume to 0.00 and use the transient envelope or an envelope follower modulate that volume. Or just route MIDI to the effect and use an ordinary envelope.

Honestly, I've got Alchemy and that completely handles all of my sample/resampling needs. I dont see much use in spending a lot of time programming in sample-loading functionality in Zebra when there are sooo many other things to work on that are more immediately useful. I think continuing to work on the GUI, developing Zebrify, and perhaps a rethink on the mod system would be in order. To me, the mod system seems a bit of a pain in the ass. If I want to assign more than one mod source to a parameter, I have to go through the whole mod mixer bullshit. Compare zebra's mod system to that of Alchemy or the new Fabfilter stuff (timeless 2, twin2, volcano2) and you'll see how much room for improvement there is. These plugins did modulation right. MUCH more flexible, much simpler in terms of use, and more visually understandable.

There are some other great suggestions in these threads as well. This is just my $0.02

I gotta agree with Howard on this...

I'm a big fan of Fabfilter products, and as much as I love them... nothing they have has as many capabilities as Zebra. IMO opinion, Zebra really is in class of it's own and that's not putting down any other synth either. For what Zebra can do, I think it has been "simplified"

Now I do have some opinion here and there (please change that Arp section!

) which are minor in when considering the synth overall, but I do think this is already simplified based on what it's capable of.

That's my 2 cents.

Is it a bug, or a technical limitation?
/I have already tried a few dedicated filter plugins and none of them has envelopes, that's why I'm asking

You still need to send MIDI Notes into the plugin to trigger these envelopes.

I'm working on some auto-trigegr for Zebrify though, where i.e. transients can trigger the enevlopes.

The Zebrify manual will be identical with the Zebra one (as the modules are all the same). There's just going to be a section describing the difference in the voice structure and how to use the analysis tools.

As I can't make screenshots at the current stage, it doesn't really make sense to start writing a manual...

Hmm, I've managed to get those envelopes working with routing the midi into the separated Zebrify... Now I experience some kind of "legato" effect on it, when playing chords and stuff, and I release a note, it plays the remained one back
(Messy to describe but I think you know what I'm talking about)
For me it is enough to fix this issue, and I'll be happy with it. The auto trigger would be more messy, I think.
