Moving / Re-installing IK plugins

Hi,

I currently have ST/SS/Phil/Moog installed, and want to re-install the plugins, but ideally not have to re-install all of the sounds.

Can I just move all of the subdirectories (Instruments/Presets, etc.) for each VST somewhere safe, and then copy them back in when I've re-installed the plugins ?
