I would also go for it if there was a mac version plus everyone I know using a mac (and thats almost every musician I know) would too go for it too!

Would they be happy with a VST or does it have to be AU?

AU people: would you be happy to use a wrapper or does it have to be AU without compromise to keep your interest?

Matt - hypothetically - what would the ETA of a Mac version be?

Picking VST and say it ports easily maybe 2-3 months (from starting seriously anyway) to get to an initial beta, it could be less if it all falls into place. So far from my surveys here, in my email box and on gearslutz it's split 50/50 VST/AU so disappointing half the people that I'm attempting to please by going VST only (because it's simpler) just makes me feel uncomfortable.

To consider AU seriously it makes sense to build on Juce (or develop a cross platform tool kit as some plug-in devs do) because maintaining two radically different code bases is just not on. Juce means getting RTAS and Mac VST versions for 'free' too but at the expense of needing a total rebuild of the GUI and much of the core code (all but the convolution and filter engine really), so that's probably a 6-9 month path, but will result in a better supported, more maintainable cross platform product. Does the Mac community have the patience for that? Or would time actually be better spent just pushing the capabilities of the PC version as far forwards as possible and putting the Mac build off for 6 months while I really build up support for the plugin but on PC only? It is hard to judge, but I appreciate people's interest and opinion!

I've posted a small update to v1.001 to fix an issue in Live 8 under Vista when changing the latency settings. The software page now has a changelog and will link to the previous version for a few days in case any updates cause immediate issues. A forced refresh may be necessary in some browsers.

A great product with a great price will always find customers IMHO. A lot of pro musicians are using Macs and most studios as well, so it probably makes sense to make a cross platform version. I personally don't like to use VST wrappers, actually I don't use VST's at all. Good luck. Kelvyn

Any chance of being able to set the default path to the IR's....

The windows 'file open' dialog opens to the last directory used, and if I have loaded a patch into another plugin, I have to navigate back to my IR directory.

Would be a real time saver

Sounds reasonable, lets get into the detail of how this might work. How would you want to differentiate between the option of the open button picking between the home location and the current working directory? Having 2 eject buttons might be confusing working within the established icon space constraints. Having eject open the current IR directory is handy, especially if you're working along way from the 'home' directory and just want to go up or down a directory from the current.

I propose having a house icon between the eject and > icons. Clicking this brings up a menu with 'Set home IR folder' and 'Open from home folder'. Open file in home dir then brings up the standard file selector but setting the start location as whatever the home is set as.

Can you provide more info please? What version of Cubase and what OS (XP, Vista, x86, x64...)? Is anybody else having an issue? For those without problems in Cubase what version are you running?

Perhaps griffin try the previous version linked at the website too (v1.000 as opposed to 1.001) as I only posted an update yesterday, this may have caused an issue.

This looks rather awesome - a good replacement for my defunct wizzooverb perhaps?
