SKINMAN, the new strike by g200kg (early early alpha)

How do you merge two shapes in Skinman? I'd like to have two overlapping rectangles treated as one object for lighting purposes etc.

I gather it's something to do with Shape+ etc. but selecting that just causes the rectangle to disappear...

Is the Parent functionality involved? I played with that but couldn't see any point to it, I guess I'm missing something.

Try droping the shape into the other in the tree, then use the shape+ on the one inside. This will join them. You can control the color etc but if you want round the corner you will have to do that per object. See the skin templates (1-7) I have on my blog I have done alot of this in those GUI's.

a big annoying bug in the last version came up (al least i think it is one):
i made a little skin, gladly i made a png export of the background.

and after saving the skinman file and reloading it, this is how it looks:



i'm kinda stuck now ... what to do? i'm really out of ideas now ...
i'd be really happy if you could advice ...

also:
you should update skinman in order to be able to display the full names of fonts and textures, a lot of them are named the same exept a number at the end, and in the last version the names are cut by the width of the menues ...
