Heres the rules:

Below you will find a numbered list of each submited track. This list coresponds with the order of the tracks that are contained in the ziped folder that was created by MadPsyance.

You can download the ziped folder here

All you need to do is select what your favorite one is in the above poll and that it! Let the best one win!

Unfortunatly a few did not folow the submission rules and named their tracks in other ways than what had been stated, so in this regard I'm not going to sort out all the submissions and try and find who is the excact creator and what the excact song title may be. I'll list them here and when the winning submission is voted in, then that person(s) will need to come forward if the song title does not explicitly have their names inluded. Sorry....

Once again a big well done to serve, and all the contributors. I wish I had the time to review 22 tracks, but sorry, I dont. however, I can safely say that every single track had at least one element well worthy of attention, and all in all, a superb showcase for Tal-elec7ro.

As with previous comps, difficult to pick one out, and if I were to listen to the tracks again, I would probably change my mind .... in fact, if I could have 10 votes, I dont think it would be any easier!

My vote goes to Elec7ro_togu-Elektroid, not for any one reason, but for the general collection and use of sounds, and arrangement .... it might not actually come out on top in any particular area, but overall, it satisfies my mood at this present time.

hi just went to download and listen but as i know ZILCH about rar files and how to open them im at a loss..however click on the link below and you'll see iv'e made a space on my website for the winning track

would have liked to have listened to all the tracks though

Rob, you can just download winrar. Then right click the zip and extract the folder. Or just go to the original thread and listen to the track individually by going though the posts. Each submission is labeled at the start of their post.

yeah i got all the tracks now mate..the 6 i have listed here stood out straight away and are excellent indeed...all tracks have a nice touch but these are what did it for me.

I'm glad you like it..

My personal favourite is "Not Dead Just MenTAL", and the second favourite is "The Monodubs-Just one (one synth challenge)".
So I think 5 votes more and the winner whould be different than the one choosen with 5 less total votes...

Genealex, we have similar tastes lol. Yours was my favorite and Just One would be my second choice, I plan on doing a full review of all my favorites sometime soon. There were several I enjoyed immensely.

I haven't been on the KVR forum that long and this is the very first synth challenge I've ever dealt with. Overall I'm impressed with the submissions I've heard so far and styles and ideas vary a whole lot...just the way it should be in a contest: Diversity is key! Obviously it's all a matter of personal taste when it comes down to rating and choosing the winner, but from a techical point of view the quality is sky high!

Sorry I posted this here and not in the Instruments area, I'll square that away asap. Its a shame I never had time to do a full Elek7ro track myself. But maybe the next challenge I'll add my two decibles worh....

And again thank you all for being so pantient with me and my time schedule I've been dealing with as of late. And all who have submitted, helped out, and donated prizes. Its been an experience!

In response to the long vote time question:

wanted everyone to have ample time to listen and evaluate each track. Many people work hard during the days and have family life on the weekends and or free time. I didn't want to short change anybody here. So I'll keep the length of the voting period unchanged at 6/20/09 12:01 am PST

serve, I fully support the time to vote issue. There are a whopping 22tracks to listen to, and as you say, not everyone has time to sit and listen to them all in one go.

With the comps I am running, I tend to have a more restricted voting period, partly because there have so far been far fewer entries than the tal comp recieved, and also because of the percieved enthusiasm to get another comp going. So if you are not of a mind to start another comp, then theres no push to hurry the votes along.

If you are thinking of doing another comp, then I would be all for adjusting timescales for the next comp I organise in order to avoid clashes, and also, if more guys are running comps, then there is less pressure on me to turn comps round .... in which case, I would quite happily extend the voting period for the comps I run. ... cos theoretically it gets more votes???

... and also allows more time for discussion towards the next comp!

However I won't be doing another OSC for qite some time. Not that I hated doing it or its hard work really, but I just dont really have the time to dive into these things very much these days. Lame
