I'm a Digital Performer 5.x user, and am considering upgrading to v6.x for 195USD, which includes MX4 as a 99USD add-on ("for a limited time"). I'm looking for feedback on the MX4 software and even DP6 if anyone has some. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

MX4 is a nifty FM-ish synth similar to Surge. Tons of waveforms to choose from and a ton of modulations. TINY little widgets require acute vision. Nice randomization feature, too.

Cool, thanks for the input. Seems like FM-ish sounds would be a good complement to my Roland FANTOM's nice, smooth, round sounds. I was considering a Yamaha SY77 for that reason, but I figured a soft synth would be more economical since I already have a controller. Cheers.

What is wrong with MX4?

Is it a lackluster plug, will only work in DP, or will not work on latest OSX version ?
