SynthMaster 2.0: VSTi/Standalone v1.9.9.29: Last build before "official release"

This looks interesting but some things are not clear. Can I build my own synth with this? That is, can I have as many oscillators as I want? can I add values to knobs ranges and so forth?

Ther was however , reference made to "layers" , two of them , making it like surge , which calls them "scenes". Thats basically two synths bolted together .

I think you might want tp look at a full on modular like KARMA or VAZ to build your own topology .

Folks, to clarify things: SynthMaster is semi-modular, i.e. having fixed number of blocks, but the topology can be arranged to a certain degree. clear enough now?

BTW, there are features that I havent even mentioned, but they are very important as well, such as:

1. 2/3 times oversampling option (saved at preset level)
2. engine internal buffer size selection - small/medium/large settings (saved at preset level)
3. Upto 8 voices Unison. We also introduced "Velocity Error" and "Velocity Spread" parameters to generate randomness and spread for unison voices, so that the MIDI velocity of each unison voice can modulated different parameters at different strengths.

Well, if you set all osc types to "additive", you can have 32 basic oscillators at your hand running in parallel.

We'll probably add that feature as well, maybe not right away, but in a maintenance release.

Another important thing I have to mention about our release schedule:

1. First comes the VST-Windows version
2. Then comes VST-OSX
3. Then comes either AU-OSX or RTAS Win/OSX. We are still undecided.

So, if any of you were expecting an RTAS 2.0 release immediately, that wont happen for a while.

Hi again folks,

We have a recent flash news on our 2.0 release: We will be releasing SM2 with Serial number only copy protection. That was a hard decision, but we had to take it after running a poll on this forum:

Apparently, most of the user community is against Challenge Response copy protection. Therefore, we listened to the community, and decided to change our copy protection method.

We know that there will be warez users, we cant escape from that. However, since we'd like to reward our decent paying customers, we will be adding features that only registered customers can access, such as:

1. Download latest product updates (i.e. version updates)
2. Downloading latest presets from our online library, made by the SynthMaster user community
3. Upload presets to our online library
4. Download latest skins from our online library
5. Upload skins to our online library
