That is an awesome demo. I'd be pretty surprised if the Largo, can do this. Didn't anybody else find the audio demos of Largo, a little lackluster?
Jep, totally!
It's just the same as for the Blofeld. From what I heard of Largo and Blofeld yet, they rather seem to be a step back .. sounds lifeless, digitally-boring and harsh to me.

The old analog Waldorf Synths seem to have a much better sound than their digital brothers.

I'm still waiting for a Largo/Blofeld-Demo with a pleasing sound.
Try this one (6 posts down): http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic ... &start=180

Also the moog lead demo by Jedimind is nice and the clips on cl516s soundcloud page are a good representation of the blofeld sound. Then again maybe you already did and you weren't impressed. :P

Personally i love the blofeld. :)

And mine...

Synth Squad is very, very hot. Its really different seeming. Than again, "the Waldorf vibe." A force to be reckoned with...

Never find rapture filters good at all. IMO.

Waldorf refers to a multitude of such single-cycle waveform, sorted in a vector, with index point which decides which wave from the table will be read and played, and that index point can be realtime modulated.

Rapture can't do that.
That's it! It will bring huge possibilities in sound design.

I understand. Rapture's filters are an acquired taste to say the least. They are just like beer. I used to find Rapture's filters dull and boring, when I first started with the synth. Than I began to hear, and feel the nuances in Rap's filters, and IMHO, they are some of the best around.

Believe me or not, but SAME here. Both should be great. But one thing make Largo bit better(for me) is a LARGE amount of waves included. SynthSquad has 4 standard waves(Ok, there will be dedicated FM synth).

Anyway, the Waldorf digital stuff sounds great too. Forget widdly demos, just try some simple stuff and see how nice the oscillators and filters are. And the wavetable shit is nuts, combined with FM, comb filters, filter FM...
All three have analog filters, true, but the Microwave II, Microwave XT, Q, Micro Q, etc., all are purely digital.
Well yeah. I was replying to the post above if that wasn't clear.

The Microwave XT you hear in that demo also has digital filters!

BOTH!

Both will have their place. Synth Squad for top quality analogue emulation, Largo for more digi-spikey-wavetable sound. Sell your other stuff/sell your Grandma.
