Working on something and I'm not quite sure how to do it. I have a media file that is a set of strings that start low and swell. It is about 30 seconds or so in length, and I would like to have it start at the beginning, and then just loop the last 10 seconds or so until I stop it.
I think it could be accomplished if within the media tools, there was a "lock loop range" function. In combination with the lock play range, it would give me the ability to start a sample where I wanted(play range), and then loop indefinitely(loop range) until I stopped it.
I guess I could also just have the same media file loaded, and have one play range setup to play the last 10 seconds. But then I'm wondering if I can assign a trigger that plays the media group starting with the first media file (the 30 seonds), and then continues onto the second media file the 10 seconds looped)
Any thoughts?

+1 for lockable loop range!
The second part (mediafile playing after another) is something I have been waiting since the beginning of development of Cantabile2. My latest suggestion was to have a trigger when a medifile has finished.
So +1 for mediafile end trigger too!

Maybe that can be done via Cantabiles TelNet Server.Sasu Honka wrote:...The second part (mediafile playing after another) is something I have been waiting since the beginning of development of Cantabile2. My latest suggestion was to have a trigger when a medifile has finished.
The only thing about TelNet I've noticed is that replies and notifications have some latency. Triggering changes however seems to be fast. I currently use TelNet to select new SetList entries or SubSessions and that works fine.

Hi curucaman,
Sorry I haven't replied earlier.
I've tried a few changes to see if I could make this work, but I'm not happy with it. I was thinking of perhaps splitting the file, and having an option to automatically start playback of the next in a group when one finishes. Then you could set the loop on the second file to get what you're after. Trying it though I couldn't get the transition between media players smooth enough.
I'm working on some other bug fixes/minor improvements at the moment and will try to revisit this again soon.
