I thought that everyone might like to get the news on this over here, as it was also put up on the NS forums.

Voices of Faith Choir

Since this information is now available via our new website, here is the basic information.

Note: This is NOT Voci/GPO choir project but will be available as a bundle offer.

Voices of Faith - Choir Performance Library

Disc 1: ENSEMBLE CHOIR (20 performers)

Disc 2: CHAMBER VOICES MEN (1O performers)

Disc 3: CHAMBER VOICES WOMEN (10 performers)

Centuries old, from Gregorian through biblical via moods of dark and light.

All performances are sung in Latin.
75+ recorded chants, hymns and motifs spanning 13 root notes per performance - one octave.

This will ensure composing in all keys. Recording is in full stereo with natural ambience of the church. (Built 1867)

EXAMPLE
Disc 1 - Phrase #38 - ENSEMBLE version
Disc 2 - Phrase #38 - MEN only version
Disc 3 - Phrase #38 - WOMEN only version

Style of Singing?

A steady, prayerful quality.

Vibrato will be eliminated where ever if possible.

Melody: Moving mostly by step within a narrow range.

Harmony: Most surviving medieval music is Gregorian chant or troubadour and trouvère songs.

Rhythm: Gregorian chant as well as troubadour and trouvère songs sung mainly in notes of equal value without clearly marked rhythms.

Fast runs in staccato

Whispers
Screams
etc

Halion for DIVA in about a week.

DIVA X Halion in about 3 weeks
