Yes ... I also play all the music myself. How about you?
blueman wrote:You probably don't have it or you would sing yourself ;) :D
Does that mean I've got IT? Wow, thanks :P
No need for a pissing match. Yes, I've played more gigs as a singer/songwriter with just a guitar and mic than in a band setting. I can play multi-instruments too. No, that doesn't make me special ;) And...yes, looks like you've got it 8)

I was a guitarist long before I sang. I see it from both sides.

Look, if you're gonna razz singers then ya gotta expect some backlash :P

They always sing along while they dance, um from what I'm told, if that counts...

It's always been my opinion that most people who grab the mic simply to ascertain this attention have not actually put in the required time to learn well. It's very frustrating to back up attitude that lacks substance.

Personally, I believe that all musicians should learn to sing. It will take a long time; very frustrating. However, the dividends will pay off in the long-run. Of course, one might have to put in an exorbitant amount of time trying to coordinate the playing activities, as well. However, there is nothing like being a very good instrumentalist and having people comment on your vocals- makes it all worthwhile.
I've got nothing to sell...am I on the right site?

I think so too, and I think all singers should learn to play at least one instrument.

I thought tambourines were only played by the Salvation Army and children with learning difficulties...
