recently i somewhat rediscovered cronox and i realized that the bigtone presets on cronox 3.5 (around 250 if i counted right) are fantastic. i also own both bigtone soundsets for albino and these are in the same league.
so if anyone wants to share the love for bigtone presets feel free to chime in. also, nico if you read this, a dedicated soundset from you for cronox would be great.
cheers

yep, bigtone rules. their work on hypersonic2 is incredibly good. i think most anything they've touched is pretty much world class sound design. and i concur about the cronox3 presets, i used to own that as well and was stunned how high quality their sound design was inside.

the big tone nexus expansion is good stuff too.

As far as ChronoX presets, any of you guys have the Phillipe Favre set? I passed on that one initially but am thinking of picking it up. Peter, I really hate to have to say this... but the demo that's posted up for it is not really very good at all. In reading the description of the soundset vs. listening to the demo - the two don't seem to be coming from the same planet even. The soundset boasts 750 presets, so obviously one can't feature all of those sounds in a demo song, yet it seems like not very good choices were made in what to showcase. :?

Also considering the new Luigi set and might get that instead.
Available on iTunes, Amazon, etc.

Hi Sequent, maybe the demo shows quite exact how the sounds are and you just dont like them ? ;-)

Could be. Or maybe we're not talking about the same demo. :)

The description talks about bell sounds and plucked sounds and bowed sounds, etc. - none of which I heard. Those are the kinds of things I was interested in from reading the description and in hearing how the sample food was used. I'll have to go back later and listen again.

The new set sounds nice though!

The demo was made from another person as the sound designer, Philippe, with a different style and different preferences, so I think I can agree that the demo is not as typical as most others. If you buy the soundset and are not satisfied we can definitely give you a full refund.

I probably wouldn't ask for a refund since this doesn't cost that much and anyway I've never had the feeling that I wanted a refund with ANY Linplug purchase. But I appreciate that option! I was asking more in terms of trying to figure out which ChronoX set to get first. Maybe I'll just get both at once! :)

I don't want to get into the business of making demos... but maybe if I put together a couple mp3s you might consider using them?

The demos related to the Albino Bigtone sets, for example, are really nicely done. As a prospective purchaser I feel that you get a good sense of what you're getting. Also the new ChronoX set demos give you a good idea of what to expect.

Thanks, Peter!

hey!
coming home from a gig to see this ...
thank you all for the nice words, i fee flattered!
but i have to mention this:
if peter wouldn't have provide the synths, i couldn't have done it.
i mean, it's only possible to do these sounds because peter has buildt synths that make that all possible ... so a big part of the praise is redirected to peter. without him i couldn't have done it. that simple ...:)
thanks again guys!
