At least with no demo it will be much easier to resist buying it. Looks like I will be demoing Synth Squad if that ever comes out.

Because I made it yesterdayLunatique wrote:Excellent example. Why isn't this one of the official demo mp3's on Waldorf's site? It's more interesting than the ones they currently have.DocT wrote:A quantum of largo:

All sounds from Largo. No additional processing except a little compression
on the drums.
Just for fun, as always

Is it verified that Largo will sound 100% the same as the Blofeld?
If so, I won't need a demo. And most people can just try the Blo out at the store, right?

I think it is verified that Largo will have, "the waldorf sound." I don't think that means, Largo is a Blofeld clone, by any standing.Johnmoorejohn wrote:Is it verified that Largo will sound 100% the same as the Blofeld?

My personal feeling is:
A) If you know the Waldorf sound, and you know you love it. You don't really need a demo.
B) A demo would be nice, just to check out bugs, compatibility, etc. After all, "it is computer soft."
And most people can just try the Blo out at the store, right?
I don't know if you have a guitarcenter in your neck of the woods, but I can fathom a guess that, guitarcenter has a computer in the pro audio dept, set up with largo and midi controller.
I'm going this weekend to check that out myself, btw.

You may want to wait a week, or at least call them to make sure they have a demo available. From the GC website:ckatrun411 wrote:

How could any company be so heartless as to deny Krakatau a demo version? He is clearly traumatised. Poor guy.Krakatau wrote:![]()

No but from the demos it does sound very similar. It has some things the blofeld doesn't have so could potentially sound better. Anyway aside from sounds there is also the question of cpu use. It could be an absolute monster or be the most cpu efficient vsti on the planet but there is no way to know without trying it out on your system. Even if you can demo it in a store you won't know how well or even if it will work on your system when you get home.Johnmoorejohn wrote:Is it verified that Largo will sound 100% the same as the Blofeld?

Slipped my mind. Great point. No demo? Yep, that is a tough sell.

Exactly the same here - unfortunately - because I do like Waldorf the company (no idea why).brok landers wrote:hmmm ... i wasn't exited at all for the digital microwaves and the q ...they sounded very glassy to me always ... i also did not like blofeld ...
@Brok: Let me know if and when you're in FFM, OK?
