but your point sucks...people still talk about Charlie Parker, people still listen to Bach...Jeff Beck still fills the big halls...
No, my point remains valid. Most people who talk about Charlie Parker or Jeff Beck are fans from way back when, not the majority of people downloading from iTunes or buying CDs online. Just because you or I know who they are doesn't mean it's common knowledge.
You might want to check iTunes or amazon.com if you think Charlie Parker is unpopular.

Actually, you might want to check any of your facts before you write your opinions here. I know you're not in the habit of doing that, but it might stop you from derailing so many threads if you get into the habit of doing it.

You're not dissing Wayne Newton, are you?

Wayne Newton doesn't have enough wank to be worth my time.:P

Enough wank?

So now that I've read all that, where does it actually end? Yes, LSD is a mindset of the masses, 100's of millions think they are so special and need so much attention.

Ps, brandon flowers sucks ass almost as much as the oasis dude (he's so bad I won't mention his name :hihi:)

My only quibble with that is brandon may actually suck more. Other than that:  thank you from the depths of my soul.

If your rule is:

9 'exceptions' out of 100 is hardly evidence to support your statement of 'a few very rare exceptions'.

To me everything is relative. So Charlie Parker isn't exactly popular compared to...well...hundreds of other bands, vocalists and musicians. Not saying he doesn't deserve the accolades, but popularity is totally relative when it comes to the numbers. Any of them.

You just can't help making everything personal, can you? Not that you're the only one.

So you have noticed that there is often a consensus of opinion against your opinions then?

You mean a consensus of three?

This is going nowhere, thank you very much, so I'll leave the field to you. You'll enjoy having the last word on the topic.

As an aside: "Way back when" songs and Itunes...you mean how Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" was the 72nd most downloaded song on iTunes in all of 2008, over 27 years past its release? (and yes, we all know they have guitars and a singer)

In this thread, but that's pretty representative of most threads you post in.
