Hmmmm… The Waldorf demos sound OK but not amazing. $299 seems a rather high asking price for something that doesn't absolutely blow you away? And yet this synth costs almost as much as Sylenth and Twin 2 put together… And you can't check out a demo of it either… Hmmmm…

any synth is only as good as the person using it :) end of the day if people don't like it they won't buy it..simple as..

Mmh... I'm not a big fan of this wavetable sound and the Largo is also a bit too expensive. Only with the audio demos and with the image from the gui: no!

Lets wait if a demo is available.

too expension? mhm in this times 50% all users say to over 50% all available produts they are to expansive.. mysteriöus^^

i think to many compare good products with products with lower quality and lower prices...

waldor fmakes really good stuff, i have used many of there products, microq, q, pulse, blofeld, and i really like the sound, specially the pulse...

blofeld, cool white devil :D but largo, mhm i dont know, in my eyes a virtuelle blofeld with additional 2 subosc and a eq :D
so, if you have a blofeld, you dont need a largo :hihi: hw sounds ever better than sw-clone.

i don't think £179 is expensive for Largo..at least if you don't like it you can sell it unlike other software.(dongle)
i will make a point never to buy anything that i cannot resell in future or anything that involves rip off transfer fees..

I never saw an eLicenser protected program having a demo because it's nonsense for the 99% of people to try something and buy a dongle to be able to try and demos won't be lack of protection if the full version has some kinda.

I'm a bit afraid of how it sounds... because a software synth even it's waldorf is no match for a Q/microQ, since it's hardware, having DSP-s in it, and the circuits that make it special.

I think the price is fine, if it sounds not as bad as I'm still thinking somehow and if it comes with a good preset-library (what I doubt).

I mean until now I only heard one Largo-Demo, which goes in the right direction (but still isn't fully convincing me).

well im planning on doing a sound library for Largo aimed directly at EDM and nothing else.
by reading the downloaded pdf manual iv'e learned alot about the features before it's even been delivered.

Is it me or do their on line audio demos sound about as exciting as a sack of flour? The Blofiled demos sound a lot more interesting.

musikmachine wrote:Anyway aside from sounds there is also the question of cpu use. It could be an absolute monster or be the most cpu efficient vsti on the planet but there is no way to know without trying it out on your system. Even if you can demo it in a store you won't know how well or even if it will work on your system when you get home.

Slipped my mind. Great point. No demo? Yep, that is a tough sell.

:)

Also i think most people would want to spend some time with it before reaching a buying decision. I would anyway. I already own massive so i'd like to compare them side by side. And see what the differences in sound are between the blo and largo. I wanna test drive Largo!
