Great Recording Functions Now

These forums easily come to be places where we only complain about every little thing. So I thought it might be nice to say how excellent is the recording feature in Cantabile now! And how grateful one is to have it.
I've never seen anything that will so naturally, easily and quickly let me get a musical sketch recorded. Everything -- including the naming of takes -- is automatic, with nothing to make you pause and lose the flow of the thing. Levels seem to set themselves nicely, and the tracks sound great with absolutely minimal adjustment. It's just a perfectly balanced functionality.
This stuff is just wonderful, Brad!

Thanks for your kind words, glad it's working well for you. Perhaps I should get an updated quote from you for the testimonials page.

Hi Larry...
...there are more than great recording functions... there is so much that I guess I'll never have checked out everything.
Complaints?
Little things can make life easier. Other ideas need time to grow and have to be discussed. Cantabile 2 is great but I hope it is not the end of the road.
Finally I am busy working on my Cantabile Touch Control client program - which would be impossible without Brads fabulous Telnet Server functionallity...
Imagine you can put structure into your SetList by adding Bookmarks and jump to these in any order...
Imagine to select your SubSessions, SetList entries or Bookmarks on large labels with pictures you can assign yourself on the fly...
Imagine you can attach comment files on the fly to SubSessions, SessionsFiles, SetList entries, Setlists and Bookmarks... and all is created an managed automatically - without typing any filename or creating any folder manually... just type your notes.
Imagine your comments always show up again automatically when you select anything...
Imagine you control Cantabile from a different PC this way than you run Cantabile on...
Imagine your mates can link into the network, following all these changes...
Dreams sometimes come true... when you use Cantabile 2
Imagine more and possibly this comes true one day as well...
Nothing is ever perfect but Cantabile 2 is the tool meeting my ideas by far best...

I agree, TI. This software has become something the user can "grow into". As I go along, I discover useful things I did not think I needed. It seems to be wiser than its owner.
The record routines stands out for me, because that has always been a struggle in the past. Once extra software was started and adjustments made, it has never been difficult to forget what the hell one was going to play.

You're so right, lallis!
When I got Reaper it revolutionized my way of recording,
but
Cantabile has completely exchanged and improved everything
related to jamming, brainstorming riffs, songwriting,
exploring new VST/is...
And I'm glad the updates and new features are still flowing
steadily!
It's the total experience
Greetings,
D.
