Feng, that was nice, not exactly what I was looking for but you gave me some kind of idea of how fat Largo can be. I was asking some old arped melody from a trance tune with higher notes rather than a "bass", something with the high freqs a bit boosted some release and reverb, take any trance tune as an example... If its a pita for you its ok, I really appreciate the example!

I am not buying this synth unless it can do this...

Synced saws, hi res, low cut off, OMFG
In all fairness, Feng did get the bass right. But we want to hear an arp, like the one that starts around 4:25

Great sample. Want to hear it from Waldorf as well. This pad at start too.ckatrun411 wrote:pablex wrote:Feng, that was nice, not exactly what I was looking for but you gave me some kind of idea of how fat Largo can be. Get a synth with sample import then. I think Largo is not for you, as hard as you seem to dislike it before you know it.BFunKu wrote:That sucks. What does Largo having Sample Import have to do at all with Blofield though? Keep sample loading unique? Umm... Sample Import is rather common these days. I'm not seeing how it is unique at all? It's almost as Waldorf are making a total Joke out of themselves?
Sample import may be important for a few people, for me it's one of the least important features of a synthesizer. More so when there's already an extremely versatile synth engine.
Largo is a synth with character, for users with character, I bet there are a few aroundIt's almost as Waldorf are making a total Joke out of themselves?

To make the sounds in this clip you'll need a synthesizer and a few effects. I think it will be harder to find a synth that can not produce these sounds than to fin one that canIgro wrote:Great sample. Want to hear it from Waldorf as well. This pad at start too.

..but why any Largo's owner doesnt upload a "vengeance" kind of demo?
U know, some PADS, any trance sequence, noises, arpeggios etc....
DocT sorry but i listened your demos and I dont like very much. Could you make a demo with brilliant sounds? Some trance PAD and hypersaw leads u know....
I have bought Largo on thomann , but still it doesnt come! I'm inpatience!
I'll hope really is a good mirror of Waldorf Q and Blofeld, I listened demos from those synths and they're very good for any styles.
No difference with virus TI at lower price

To make a good demo it is important that you like a particular style. I don't.drmesmer wrote:..but why any Largo's owner doesnt upload a "vengeance" kind of demo?

You needn't apologize. I am not a good musician, but just demonstrate a few of my own sounds that mostly are of the weird kind.DocT sorry but i listened your demos and I dont like very much.
Earlier in this thread I posted a humble effort of a track:
http://www.trippler.net/files/largo/lechiffre.mp3
But I'm sure that there will soon be demos from better musicians.

I, for one, may admit :DocT wrote:Largo is a synth with character, for users with character, I bet there are a few around
I don't have an ounce of character and i'm so awfully ashamed to be able to buy such a dazzling winner i obviously do not deserve that i beg you , for the survival of my way overestimated self-esteem, never to repeat it
...The only conclusion, and i hope you might perhaps once forgive the insolence, that i pretend to share with you today is :
I' afraid that humility has become more and more a mortal weakness in your way of (cyber)life

can you give me an example of the sound you want to recreate? If I am able to do it I'll give it a try.pablex wrote:Feng, that was nice, not exactly what I was looking for but you gave me some kind of idea of how fat Largo can be. Character and humility aren't mutually exclusive.

Why did I know that this would come?...but servility obviously not !
I am quite sure that you forgot to delete that before you clicked the reply button, for I'm convinced that you want to keep the discussion impartial and free of personal attacksP.S ...Doctor Who ?

I could do those kind of sounds...if I could have a play around Largo demo. But I will not buy anything unless I had a chance to test it on my own computer, and Im sure many people feel the same way, so for waldorf not having a Largo demo, they are loosing potential customers.drmesmer wrote:..but why any Largo's owner doesnt upload a "vengeance" kind of demo?

It's a demo from uQ that in theory is the same than Largo Core.
Largo is hte same that all Waldorfs hardware (Q, uQ, Blofeld....) then all demos you'll see or listen will be the real potential of that beast i suppose.
I hope not to be wrong!
