I really love this. Arrangement and composition - very impressive. Beautiful instrumentation, catchy melodies, different ethnic elements cleverly combined... Do you have real musicians playing on it? Have you used samples? I'm really curious to know how you've created this piece (I clicked the direct link btw)

Tell me a bit more about your set up, and your music-making process

Absolutely gorgeous tune. Not a criticism by any means, but I personally would like to hear a bit of experimental electronica going on at the edges (if you know what I mean). I think it would give it a bit of bite. But that's very personal I know. Others might think that would ruin it!!

Anyway, I'm gonna listen to it again!!

I don't use the term 'real musicians'. I said 'real traditional instruments and vocals of the world' to oppose VST and other plugins.

No, before I used OMPT but now I use Renoise and other audio sequencers.

I use samples for real traditional instruments and vocals of the world. The rest is VSTi plugins and samples. I would like to record singers (real singers opposite...! ).

You know, to compose a tune, I work one night completely. And the second night, I improve sound levels, effects, etc for mixing.

So, in 2 days, I do one tune.

That's all !

So are you using melodic loops or playing multi-sampled instruments?

I don't like loops in general, in my Dub style. I use loops in Hip-hop or other syles.

So, I prefer to play multi-sampled instruments.

well, i'm very impressed with your programming skills. Do you use NI Kore? The new North India soundpack is pretty cool. But you might have all those sounds already... very playable, authentic instruments though.

Anyway, great tune. I'm going to check out some of your others too.

No ,I don't use NI Kore or samplers because Renoise is like a big sampler ! I use simple samples. But you know, before I sorted all samples accurately by BPM, tonality and origin (Africa, Asia...). I listened to all few times. After, it's easy !

About 'Project #01', I gave this name to this tune because the project was stopped. So, why to delete this piece ? I prefer to share it !
