Really? Where do you think they will be selling their hardware synths then? You seem to forget Waldorf is not a software only company, actually not even mainly a software company. Those business models based on Internet may work for software only companies, but not for hardware manufacturers, which is the case for Waldorf.dmacintyre wrote:There is this new thing called "the internet" where a product is easily accessible by every person on the planet who has access to this network.ckatrun411 wrote: I'd really like to bet it has to due with their distribution contracts. I'd also hazard a guess that, after a demo is petitioned, an option to buy direct will follow. This could really screw up in store distribution.
I guess, in store distribution, is the safest bet that you will move a large number of products. Not only are you marketing your own brand, the shop is pushing products on its shelf as well.
The new business model is getting rid of in store sales and selling direct - that way every bit of revenue goes to the developer instead of a large percentage going to a retail chain. Furthermore, if I buy online, normally it is authorized immediately, so I don't have to wait for the latest update. I can even buy used software on KVR for a fraction of the street price and normally get the same quick activation service. High street stores are a waste of time when it comes to software and I hope Waldorf will sell direct so we can all get instant access to the new technology.

Stop do it, and focus on your music
To answer all my questions, it is just my opinion. I have listen all of those demo sounds, and it doesnt impress me. Maybe you like it, i dont.

I told 'em that's the wrong address and that they should send it to my house so if it doesn't turn up you'll know why.rob_lee wrote:musikmachine wrote:So what's the verdict? C'mon, you've had all afternoon to play with it. Spill!rob_lee wrote:Nice

There's screen capture software you can use for that and magix movie maker is great for editing and uploading video to youtube (has a built in uploader). Someone else will know more about it as i've only dabbled a little bit.
