something i really need to do is this
i want to drag my mouse over all the elements in the tree view, and be able to move all selected up/down or L/R by xxx pixels
basically move everything i select up 25 pixels etc
is this possible right now?

no, and that's an important point i always forget to mention ... there's no multiple selection possible in the tree view, aswell as, as soon as you select something in the tree view, the keyboard focus is gone from the graphic window, so fine nudgeing is a pita aswell ... not to speak of that nudgeing multiple selections made in the tree view is completeley impossible afaik ...Kriminal wrote:something i really need to do is this

As already brok mentioned, that is impossible now. but your words are big hints for meKriminal wrote:something i really need to do is this

Actually, multiple selection in tree-view needs a complicated processing, I may seek a provisional solution.
Is that OK if the (xxx pixels) is link to grid size?
thanks subs, I'm already ok. though I'm in a terrible condition past a few months.djsubject wrote:

I was finally able to spend some time with the recent version this this morning. The additions of twist for the poly are fun. The menus being free is great but I work in full-screen mode and the menus alway fall underneath and can not the back without fiddling. Could there be an option to have them always on top? I set photoshop up this way all the time but I tend to choose colors from a cusotmize swatch palette and not from a color picker, I select the color in the swatches and then create the shape which has that fill color. If a localize menu of establish swatches is possible this would be great, or perhaps a way to collapse the spectrum so that I only see the swatches. I also would like to suggest that the customized color choices can be saved to a file so that they can be opened in Knobman or from knobman to skinman. I was also thinking a tabed menu for the properties might be more efficient and save on the space needed to view those details.
This is really coming along and is very useful with some of the new features you have added.

hello, ver 0.97
* Lines (radiate/horizontal/vertical) primitive suported.
* LineCap parameter for Shape.
* Preview added for Fonts / Textures.
* Export/Import libs (*.sklib) support.
(to help reuse partial objects)
* Borders with Shape- operation supported.
* BugFix: Twist for Polygon is not properly processed.
* Multiple selection on TreeView (using Shift/Control+Click).
* AroowKeys and Shift+ArrowKeys for move selected Primitives on canvas.
* Color palette embedded to .skin and Save/Load support
* BugFix: pipette tool hungs in some cases.
http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/skinman.html
default LibDir and PaleteDir is setuped by [File]-[Setup] menu.
only the selected primitives are saved by the [File]-[Export to Lib] as a "sklib" file. that can be imported to current project by the [File]-[Import from Lib]. (Import/Export is already implemented in the past, but that use .skin file and be confusing)
Multiple selection in the TreeView is not perfect yet. you should use Shift+Click or Control+Click for the second item. once selected, you can move focus to Canvas (need to click 'Titlebar' for keep selection), and move group by ArrowKeys or Shift+ArrowKeys.
'Twist' for Polygon is a bit changed. because my intention is by "degree" that is not accurate in previous version.
And new Primitive, 'Lines'

------EDIT-----------
SORRY, ver 0.97 has a critical file-save problem.
already Replaced to 0.97a

does anyone know how to draw waveforms in skinman? things like saw and square are easy enough (tho tedious to do) but sine is not so easy ..
if i have a knob that is a osc waveform selector, its nice to have the visual rather than forced to use text ech time

you probably cant, but if you have a graphics package that can use photoshop plugins, you could try this:Kriminal wrote:does anyone know how to draw waveforms in skinman?

An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

If you not need so exactly sine wave, shape(with border/without fill) can make sine like curves.Kriminal wrote:does anyone know how to draw waveforms in skinman? things like saw and square are easy enough (tho tedious to do) but sine is not so easy ..

sorry but 0.97 is so buggy, now frequently updating for fix.
if you have stable version, keep it for a while.
Or check the latest, if you encounter to trouble.

Just a heads up to g200kg. Latest version crashes when I try to undo or delete anything that's nested in the tree. Running xp 64-bit here.
Easy to test. Create two objects, nest them together in the tree. Move an object and undo, crash. Highlight top object in nest and delete, crash.
