I'm glad it's exactly as hoped though, and I'm looking forward to Rob's soundset, even if he did sell Sylenth
That happened to me previously. It was in stock when i placed the order but the next day out of stock with something like a two week delay. It's put me off ordering from them tbh.

Yeah rob has to redeem with himself with teh awesome soundset.:hihi:

My Largo arrived today from Nova Musik and I am home in late recovery stage from the flu so I get to play with Largo as I drink my tea and eat cough drops and go through about a box of tissues a day.

The program installed without a hitch, I downloaded the license onto my Syncrosoft dongle, and I was off and running all within about 10 minutes of going to the door to get the box.

So now I am playing and it sounds really good so far. For many of the factory presets, it is really fun to listen to what happens when you vary velocity, aftertouch, and mod wheel. You usually don't even have to go as far as touch a filter knob ("Filter Up, Filter Down, ..." :D).

The main reason why I am writing here is to add my voice to the suggestion that an official Waldorf forum be created here or elsewhere. Otherwise people are going to start bringing up issues and posting ideas and discussions here in single long threads that are hard to follow rather than in well-organized threads.

Maybe i could create one on my site just for that..?
Then maybe Waldorf will hurry on up and get a forum going on here?

Much appreciated :)

Did you try out Largo in Multi-mode where you can assign all 4 layers to Midi Channel 5? Sounds amazing for Fat Pads, Leads etc.
Using an instance of Largo then gives you:

x12 Oscs x8 Sub Oscs x4 seperate Arps x8 insert Fx and 4 Band Eq on each Layer.
Iv'e been experimenting in multi-mode and Largo comes out tops for sure.

PS

To be sure of hearing all 4 Layers at once you must have Largo assigned to midi channel 5.
You can then treat each layers output with externel fx etc per part/layer
OR
Set largo to stereo out and treat all parts with external fx etc.

Not that you need external processing as what you get is enough and brilliant at that..

UPDATE

Rock solid..no crashes thumbs up.. :)

I haven't tried that yet. I am recovering from flu and was just too tired to go on after playing for a couple of hours. However both the Q keyboard and Blofeld can be used with multiple patches going at the same time and can sound insanely cool that way. The Q has a step sequencer on it too...

4 layers sound great if you have all arps etc going at once..just remember to activate each layer first and assign to midi channel 5 and select stero out to add external fx to all 4 layers or select multi-out to process each layer :)

Yes im having the strange characters aswell but it's ok if you save it at the top of Largo where you save as vst..then no strange characters..
so far i have only this problem with Largo which is minor..All else is solid..no crashes etc in sonar 8pe or cubase 5.1 :)

Good stuff. You'd expect at least a few bugs in an initial release and you take the chance on whether to risk it when there is no demo. Glad it's working out. :)

hi

if there are any bugs to report then the only one iv'e found is the saving of programs within Largo with the symbols etc..saving as vst fxp works fine :)
i can't speak for Ableton etc but im solid on Sonar 8 and Cubase 5..
cheers
