Nothing to do with Waldorf actually - but rather the copy protection they are using. Welcome to Syncrosoft-land. Best solution is to get a hardware dongle.drmesmer wrote:Other thing is I dont know where to ask for responses. No Waldorf forum! Is there any email for support?
Other thins is elicenser. When I installed it, i inserted the key that goes on cd and then connects to internet and when license arrives says a message like:
"this code is permanently INVALID"
GODDD, then if my PC crash my code on the cd doesnt allow me to re-license??? Is now INVALID??
Waldorf Support = SHIT !!!
Largo is here!

Update on panning controls:rob_lee wrote:ok you must be doing something wrong like this:
There are 2 panning controls..one is next to filter 1 and the other is next to filter 2.
The inner knobs control the volume of the pan.
To pan L/R or whatever on both you need to click on the outer grey area and drag left or right.
You must have been using the knob which turns down the volume...
iv'e marked the arrows on the area..it's rough but will do..
now try panning..![]()
also do the same for the panning beside filter 2 if you have 2 filters switched on parallel or serial.
hope this helps
rob
ok after checking more i have found that pan 1 next to filter 1 only works whilst filters are in parallel mode.
only use pan 2 next to filter 2 if you are in serial mode as pan knob 1 is then disabled although the volume knob will work..

But what can I do if my PC crash and my "invalid" code (On DVD) doesn't works next time????
I dont have dongle key to transfer license to it. I think i'll have to buy one.
It exists other solution to transfer to "dongle key"?

Ah so you have not bought a dongle (key)?
Largo will not work without this at all.I tried to open up Largo without the licence on the dongle and it crashed instantly.I ordered a new dongle (key) the same day i ordered Largo.
After installing Largo you need to go to the licence control center and download the licence after typing the 8 rows of 4 letters into the boxes(FOUND ON YOUR DVD BOX)
Then click start download...your Largo licence is now on the dongle...Boot Cubase/Live etc and Largo shows up no probs.
I could not get it to work without the dongle at all...You best order one before it will work..
Hope this helps..

That plus the fact that they also manufacture hardware are good reasons to set up their own forums on the Waldorf web page. Waldorf is a small company though, and that could be a costly investment to set up and monitor closely.masstronaut wrote:I think they should stick with the mailing list.

Mailing lists are certainly safer than forums.

Ah sorry, I was going to get to this and then noticed you figured it out.drmesmer wrote:4 layers sound now OK
Other thing is I cant save my own patches. It writes a program with strange characters.....like otrer user posted before.
Im using Live 7.
Ill try with sonar 8. See...
In Cubase you have to use an instrument channel (instead of an instrument track) and then enable all 4 outputs (or however many you want) in the channel settings. Cubase does not automatically enable all outputs for multitimbral instruments.

I don't believe it needs a dongle to function, as it includes the software eLicenser. I think it's the same as the Rob Papen synths as well.
However, in the same way I prefer keeping licenses on iLok whenever possible, I also bought a Steinberg key to sue with Largo. I know many people hate them, but I find it easier to locate all my licenses than scouring emails/documents and re-typing/authenticating each time I install.
I'm sure that if there are any authorisation problems, an email to Waldorf will sort it out.

I have now troubles with the patches. With sonar own patches management I can save my programs but still it works not too well.
I deleted all folders of sounds on "Largo Sounds" folder. Still loads up by defect the factory bank.
How can I do to leave a bank with all empty patches by defect? U know, to create my own bank from zero. I don't know how Largo manage the folder of banks and the manual doesnt says anything about it!
Rob, DocT any idea?

I use Cubase on a Windows system.
I just save the song (or the *.arr file)that contains Largo in Cubase.
Thus all current settings including the loaded bank in Largo is saved and reloaded when reopening the song- or arrangement-file.
