Using your host . There should be an option to load fxp/fxb presets in the window that contains Largo's GUI inside your host (at least that's how it works in Cubase) . Once you got this bank loaded , save your project . Now , every time you want to design new sounds , just open this projet .drmesmer wrote:OK, thanks. Now I have a new full empty bank but... how can I do to load "my bank" by default?

DocT, the default bank that is loaded where is ?
I deleted all folders in Largo Sounds folder and still load the same default bank always?
I use Sonar 8 and don't know how to set default bank by the host

I just realized another feature of the Q which Largo appears to be lacking... is there a random patch generation function?
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Some hosts will do that.
EnergyXT, the original version, for one.

Oh crap - so it's not going to work well in hosts that can't manage fxb preset loading/saving like NI Kore and CubaseDocT wrote:this can't be done by Largo but must be done by the host.

I don't understand the interrelation between my reply and your statement. I only wrote that a new instance of Largo always loads with the factory preset bank.aMUSEd wrote:Oh crap - so it's not going to work well in hosts that can't manage fxb preset loading/saving like NI Kore and CubaseDocT wrote:this can't be done by Largo but must be done by the host.

Maybe I misunderstood but I gathered from the discussion that Largo does not have the facility to load and save banks itself but it must rely on the host to do that. In which case it will have problems in hosts that can't load or save fxb banks natively (like Kore which can't load or save them and Cubase which can load them but can't save them)DocT wrote:I don't understand the interrelation between my reply and your statement. It's as rob lee pointed out: weird symbols. They occur when saving
from Largos GUI. They don't occur when using Live's built-in save
functions and, as far as I remember, they should also not occur when
adding the suffix .fxp or .fxb explicitly to the file name.
But, to ease it: I've already fixed this. It was a bug in a library
function. And as I mentioned in my original reply, this and other
fixes are part of the next version that is about to be released quite
soon.

Saving as vst is only temporary until the update as stated in my quote above..surely it's not that serious that we have to do it that way till we get the update is it? Im doing ok with mine..load init bank and just create presets as i go then just save as fxp bank/presets till the update
